Appleton’s Paul Parker dodged two caution periods and led every lap en route to capture the 25 lap, WDLMA late model feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek. A total of 103 cars pulled through the pit gate, including 24 WDLMA late models, 20 IMCA modifieds, 18 stock cars, 17 northern sportmods and 22 sport fours.
Parker began sifting through lapped cars with ten laps to go. Shawano’s Tom Naeyaert came home second with Navarino’s Terry Anvelink placing third. Waukesha’s Rick Scheffler, the current WDLMA points leader, was forced to qualify into the feature through the semi-feature and charged from the back of the pack to finish seventh.

Little Suamico’s Sean Jerovetz swapped the lead with Two Rivers’ Kyle Kudick and fended off Kudick to win the caution free, 20 lap IMCA modified feature. Jerovetz also won his heat, netting a sweep for the evening.
Green Bay’s Jared Siefert captured the IMCA modified track championship.
Green Bay’s John Heinz fought off a few caution periods and Pulaski’s Junior Karcz to win the 20 lap IMCA stock car feature.
Rod Snellenberger took the division’s track title. Snellenberger wound up fourth, having battled back from the tail of the field after pitting under caution for a flat tire. The race was Snellenberger’s first since he suffered from kidney stones and missed races over the weekend. Snellenberger nipped his son Devin at the line to finish fourth.
Oconto’s Travis Cain fended off a late race charge by De Pere’s Johnny Whitman to capture the 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature.
Whitman won the division’s track title. The crown was his second within four days, as Whitman won the same crown at Seymour Speedway in Sunday.
Sheboygan’s Mike Zitzer swept action in the sport four class, winning his heat and his fourth feature of the year. Pulaski’s Sam Ambrosius captured the sport four track championship.
This Saturday night, September 4 the annual Dynamite Derby of Destruction “night of Mayhem”. Everything from bus races, trailer races, double O races, chain races relay races involving the track pond on the infield and much more is on tap. The action gets underway at 7 p.m.
