Tuesday, November 17, 2009 (LaCrosse, WI) – Even though the racing season in the upper Midwest is over, that doesn’t mean that the racing fraternity hibernates until April. Some teams may already be starting to prepare for the 2010 racing season. For many, that preparation will include time spent at the new Midwest Motorsports Racers’ Expo, to be held January 8th & 9th in Madison, WI.
The two-day event will take place on Friday, January 8th and Saturday, January 9th at the Alliant Energy Center’s Veterans Memorial Coliseum. “This is a great opportunity for drivers and teams from all forms of motorsports – be it dirt, asphalt or go-karts, etc. - to sell or bid on anything related to racing,” Commented Event Trade Show Manager Dave Noelke. “From parts, to race cars, to haulers, or even tow vehicles, you’ll probably see it and can bid on it there.”
Along with the auction, there will also be a huge trade show and meetings for several regional touring series. Meetings to be held will be announced at a later date. “We already have many of our vendors returning from last year’s Green Bay and Rockford Auction Events, plus many new already on board. Expect a variety of products and services to choose from at the trade show, so you can get a jump on your competitors for the upcoming race season,” concluded Noelke.
The racers’ auction is a great opportunity for teams to auction off any of their extra racing parts, as well as the opportunity to bid on additional parts they may need for the next season of racing. This auction is open to all forms of racing – dirt or asphalt. If it has wheels and uses a motor, the auction is the place to be. Consignment drop off times will be announced soon, and consignment advanced registration forms will be available soon at the auction website – midwestracersauction.com.
On Friday, January 8th, a NEW later start time will be more racer friendly, as doors and the trade show open at 3:00 p.m. while the Auction begins at 4:00 p.m. Bidders are encouraged to arrive early to register for their bidder’s card and free catalog.
The auction and trade show continues on Saturday, January 9th with doors opening at 8 a.m. and the sale starting at 9 a.m. Items featured on Saturday include the small “parts” lots, as well as C-Lots – i.e. rolling chassis’, race cars, bare chassis’, tow vehicles and trailers (C-Lots will start at Noon).
