North Central Speedway has launched a New Website with a whole new look and attitude. New Features include a store, up to date AMB times, more social media networks, easier navigation, apps for your phone, and text message alerts.
The new online store will sell event tickets and pit passes to special events, closeout apparel, and other fan accessories and you will be able to access the store on Facebook. The site will also feature race results and standings following each race but will be archived so you can always look back. There is a featured video player and rotating photo gallery and featured news stories. More social networks have been added in 2012 so you can always stay connected to North Central Speedway via LinkedIn, Racing Online Forum, and Smug Mug has been added. The Website will now be easily accessed with any type of mobile device and you will also be able to receive updates from the track through text messages-this also includes any rain outs. The new History page currently has track champions and will feature race winners from each season. The calendar has monthly listed options or simply click agenda to get a snap shot of what is coming up.
There are other features as well that will be new to North Central Speedway in making the driver and fan relationship more connected. There will be VICTORY ROW behind the tech shed where the feature winner in each class will line up 20 minutes after the races, so the fans can go get autographs and pictures if they want with out going all the way into the pits. Along with that same concept is the having the previous weeks winners short profile/bio and picture on a big poster board for fans to learn a little bit more about the guys behind the wheel.
We will also have videographers Ben and Davey Kruchten that will make DVD’s of every race in 2012 and sell for $10 each. A bright new photographer is being lined up to start working this season. Tony Marshall has found a love of photography and does some really neat shots of fire department training sites and action shots. You can check him out on Facebook under Tony Marshall Photography. Last but not least, NCS has hired a merchandiser to focus on the novelty items and NCS clothing throughout the season. You can expect a new item released every week….everything from belts, to bags, to rhinestone sweatshirts and much more.
The advertising packages for businesses have presented some new options which businesses are jumping at. That is the class advertiser. A business can claim a class and every time a heat, bmain, and feature come out onto the track, they are known as the “______” pure stocks, or whichever class. So far we have the Miller Lite Super Stocks, the Budweiser Modifieds, the WYRQ Street Stocks, and the Nesquik Hornets. Each class will have its own victory circle backdrop for the feature and winners circle pictures.
In other scheduling news, the World of Outlaw Late Model series presented by Dondelinger Auto will be joining us on July 14th along with our Supers and Midwest Mods for what will be the show of the season. The late models race really well at NCS. The Baxter night has been changed to May 5th in which all Baxter residents will be able to pick up free admission tickets to that race at none other than Party World owned by Kelli Mankowski in Baxter, right behind Sears on 371. Shannon’s Auto Body will be grabbing a night in the beginning of the season and Mills Automotive Group, which now includes Mills Honda in Baxter, will take over Kids Night with the UMSS Sprints on June 9th. There is an amazing line of races and drivers that will be competing on Saturdays from April to September so make sure to plan your weekends at North Central Speedway.
