The new site debuted on January 15, featuring local, regional and national news along with its famous forum message board.
“For over ten years, racingonline.com has been the website for race fans in Wisconsin and the Midwest and with the new owners having a group of people involved that are enthusiastic and passionate about this sport, it was an easy decision for the American Speed Association to be a part of it,” Dennis Huth, American Speed Association President stated. “This group will take racingonline.com from a local level to a national level and we are excited to help them achieve this goal.”
The opening weekend of the website saw tremendous numbers as the site had over 4,000 unique visitors and close to 260,000 hits.
“We are excited to have the American Speed Association’s support of racingonline.com. We welcome their series and member tracks to send us their stories so our audience can catch the latest news from this great sanctioning body,” Denny Bandt, Managing Director of racingonline.com stated. “This will definitely help us open the door to more regional and national coverage which will bring a much larger audience to our site.”
Under the news ownership, the group’s goal is to make racingonline.com the first site for every race fan to catch up on the latest racing news along with visiting the forum message board to talk to other race fans on a variety of topics in this sport.
The website welcomes stories from all tracks and series. Please send your stories and photos to press@racingonline.com.
“I think the fans will notice that we are a fan friendly site and we are slowly growing from our home state of Wisconsin to the rest of the United States,” Bandt stated. “We will have a section for fans to write their own reports of the racing action they witnessed as well as a variety of columnists. We are even going to have a section where fans and historians can share stories and photos from the past. I haven’t been this excited in a long time about what we will have on this site.”
