It is the last big racing weekend of the 2010 season in the Midwest. It is also the place where race fans from all across the country will gather for four days of racing excitement and fun. The 41st Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend will take place on Oktober 7,8,9,10 at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, WI.
Oktoberfest will feature the over 1300 total laps of racing with 800 of those being feature racing. There will also be 17 different divisions with six of those being late model divisions.
Competitors will be coming from all over the United States and Canada. In fact, one race team is thinking about making the trek from Southern California to be a part of this event.
Oktoberfest has become known as "Racing's Family Reunion." This will be the place where family and friends will gather not only to watch the racing action, but also enjoy the famous after race parties with live bands performing. It's an atmosphere that is hard to describe, but only can say that you need to be there in person to experience it.
"If you have never experienced Oktoberfest as a fan or a competitor, this is the year to do it," Chuck Deery, Oktoberfest Promoter said. "Now is the time to plan to be a part of the 41st annual event. This year will be very special as we will crown eight champions and remember our dear friends John & Sue McKarns. Two people who made Oktoberfest what it is today."
