Modern day Six Cylinder FWD cars have been around for some 30 years, and there will finally be a place to race them. Dells Raceway Park announced today that 2010 would be Year 1 of what promises to be a great entry-level race class. The rule package has been completed, but it wasn’t too difficult. “Knock out the glass, add a few safety items and you are racing!” said Race Director Scott Sauerbrei. “Racing has never been easier or cheaper. We’ll even help racers prepare the safety items and let you store the car at the track to keep costs to a bare minimum” Scott said.
The new class will be called the “Six Shooters” and will run the final feature every Saturday night. Rules are posted on the DRP web site and are also attached to this announcement. Drivers are encouraged to call Scott at 920-428-6922 or lead tech inspector Dave Oswald at 608-839-5507 with any questions. But Dave is sure that it will be a short conversation. “All you need to do is find a car, let us help you install a few safety items and get behind the wheel!”.
There will be an informational meeting on Saturday January 9th at 2PM at Antiqua Bay in the Wisconsin Dells immediately following the 12PM Karting meeting.
