INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (June 26) – After back-to-back rainouts, the Deery Brothers Summer Series gets back on track with a pre-holiday show next Wednesday, July 1 at Independence Motor Speedway.

The IMCA Late Model tour will be paired with the second event in the American Stock Car Series and pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start.

Pit gates and the grandstand both open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and unaccompanied teens, $13 for seniors, $12 for students (12-17), and kids 11 and under get in free when accompanied by a paid adult.

The Deery show at Cresco Speedway rained out on June 16 has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 25. Four heat races were in the books before wet weather KO’d the June 17 program at Fayette County Speedway in West Union. Two “B” features and the main event will be held Tuesday, July 14.

American Stock Car Series features on June 30 at Buena Vista Raceway in Alta and at Indee pay $1,000 to win. The July 2 finale at Marshalltown Speedway pays $1,250 to the winner.
