PORTAGE, WI (Thursday, February 26, 2009) – The popular racing website www.racingonline.com recently reached a plateau of over 1,000 members on its popular forum message board. The new message board debuted on January 26, 2009.
The ROL Forum has long been a popular site on the internet for fans to communicate amongst one another. When ROL Marketing Partners, LLC took over the site last month, they felt it was time to have the forum under a new format. This required everyone who has been a member in the past on the old Delphi forum to register under the new program.
“It’s really not a surprise that we reached this milestone within its first month, but the rapid growth and traffic easily exceeded our expectations,” Scott Lofquist, ROL Technical Director stated. “The forum has had a popular following and its encouraging seeing that those people have embraced the new format and have signed up as quickly as they did.”
The new format places discussions and classified ads in different sections allowing a visitor to find a specific track or discussion they would like to read or a specific part without going through all of the ads to find it. “We have had many positive responses to the new format as well as some who are slowly getting used to it,” Lofquist stated. “The nice thing about this format is that it will cater to their preferences. For every question or concern that has been given, we have been able to find a solution that works.”
One of the new features on both the Forum and the RacingOnline site is that over 35 racetracks in Wisconsin are represented with their own area for discussion. This will allow fans to go into the forum and visit their favorite track section to join in on the discussions of topics specific to that track such as recent events or off-season news.
Membership to the ROL forum is free of charge and is available to everyone involved in racing from fans to race teams.
The forum is just one of the new or improved features on the popular website. Recently, it started featuring audio podcasts that fans can listen to on the site or sign up to download via iTunes under keyword, “Racingonline.” The site has also created individual track pages that give information about their favorite Wisconsin track along with a link to the track’s website. Plus, many are already noticing the constant updates with the latest news in the local, regional, and national racing.
Advertising opportunities are available on the site, for more information, please contact Julia at admin@racingonline.com or by phone at (608) 254-6828.
