GSR Kartway was back in action on Monday night, Aug. 30. Jayden Schmidt grabbed the top spot in the Rookie Box Stock feature on the third lap with Eugene Gregorich, Jordan Jahnke and Andrew Tritten following. By lap six, Tritten had made his way up to third while Gregorich began gaining on Schmidt. Gregorich caught Schmidt with four laps remaining but wasn’t able to mount a challenge for the lead. Schmidt held on for the win.
In the Box Stock feature Dakota Kallas jumped out to the early lead over Konnor Wilinski, Gabe McCarty, Jacy Schmidt and Max Oreskovich. Wilinski fought and took the lead on lap four and pulled out to a small advantage. With Wilinski comfortably in control of the race, a caution came out with four laps remaining, bunching up the field. Kallas took advantage of the restart and retook the lead, leaving Wilinski and McCarty to battle for second. McCarty took second, with Kallas taking the win.
Nathen O-bright and Tyler Natzke immediately began to pull away from the field in the Racing For Education feature, but both spun on the third lap, bringing out the caution. Natzke was ruled the cause of the caution and sent to the back on the restart. O-bright continued to lead on the restart with Chris Kiddy, Brady Maves and Austin Brubach following. O-bright led the race until he was ruled the cause of a caution on lap nine. Brubach jumped into the lead on the restart and led the remaining laps for the win.
Jordan Bartz grabbed the early lead over Kyle Raddant, Garret Strachota, Cody Chipman and Matt Rohde in the Controlled Stock feature. Strachota overtook Raddant on the next lap and set his sights on Bartz. But Bartz had built herself a small advantage and Strachota was not able to cut into that advantage. It was Bartz racing to the win.
At the drop of the green flag in the Junior II feature, Lucas Lamberies and Wyatt Blashe raced to a small lead over the rest of the field. Blashe stayed right on Lamberies’ bumper over the next several laps with Taylor Arndt, Kobe Schreiber and Rachel Kallas following. Midway through the race Lamberies began to distance himself from Blashe. Lamberies led the remaining laps and took home the win.
Dale Alger led all 15 laps of the Animal Pro feature as he cruised to the victory of Cami Alger.
In the Lawn Mower feature, Troy Miller grabbed the early lead and never looked back as he cruised to the win over Andy Mares, Aaron Mares, Todd Schertz and Tom Tellock.
GSR Kartway will conclude its race season on Wednesday, Sept. 1.
