NAPLES ME ( June 1 ) Preston Peltier earned his second Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South super late model win of 2009 Saturday night in the “Salute our Heroes” 150 at Jacksonville North Carolina’s Coastal Plains Speedway. Corey Williams came back through the pack after a flat tire to finish second and Justin Wakefield continued to get his season back on track, finishing third.2008 PASS National Championship runner-up John Stancill made his first PASS start of 2009, finishing fourth; Jay Fogleman completed the top five.
Series point leader Ben Rowe finished outside the top two for the first time this season in sixth with Shelton McNair, Ryan Blaney, Mark Gibson, and Alex Fleming in the seventh through tenth spots.
Thirteen years young Clint King scored his first PASS Late Model Truck win after a race long battle with series point leader Grant Davidson and Joe Hiegl. Marty Griggs and Jody Measamer completed the top five.
The PASS South super late models head to Georgia’s New Senoia Raceway for the Dixie 150 on Saturday June 20th. The PASS South Late Model trucks will join the super late models at Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway on Sunday July 5th.
