Havel moved into the lead from his outside front row starting position. John Ovadahl quickly moved up to battle with Havel for the top spot. The two raced side by side with Ovadahl taking over the lead on lap fifteen. Havel fought back on the inside groove and retook the lead on the next lap. Three caution flags slowed the event in the remaining laps but Havel was strong on the restarts and went on to the victory.

Havel, despite showing effects of the high temperatures and humidity, celebrated becoming the ninth different driver to win a feature in the division this season. Butch Mierendorf of Lake Mills followed Havel across the line for second. Mike Langsdorf of Doylestown drove to third ahead of Terry Sauer of Waterloo. Dean Schultz of Juneau moved up from the seventh row to finish in fifth.

Feature win number one!!  Karl Walhgren (#36) became the 10th different winner in Street Stock action this season staying ahead of Jeni Westergaard.  The win was his first of the season. 73199b.jpg (14719 bytes)
