July 7, 2000; Columbus, WI. -  Rain caused the cancellation of Burger King Jr. Fan Club Night at the Columbus 151 Speedway on Friday night. The big wheel races and coloring contest for the kids have been rescheduled for Friday night August 4.

Racing action is scheduled to resume this Friday night with the Pepsi Triple 60’s Challenge Series Round Two. The late model division will race a 60-lap feature. The championship round of the three race series is scheduled for August 11.

The sixty lap late model Pepsi should provide plenty of action, as there have been eight different feature winners in nine events held at the speedway this season.

Jason Erickson of Cambridge leads the Pepsi Series standings after his thrilling drive from the back of the pack to victory in round one on June 9. Randy Breunig of Columbus is ranked second in both the Pepsi standings and the regular season point standings. Breunig has been very consistent all season long and is looking for his first feature win of the season. Terry Sauer of Waterloo is third in the Pepsi Series and is also hoping to pick up his first feature win of the season. He is fourth in the regular season standings. Russ Goodwin of Beloit had a strong showing in round one of the Pepsi Series and is ranked fourth.

Duane Deppe of Waterloo holds down the fifth position. Sixth through tenth in the Pepsi Series are Scott Nottestad of Cambridge, Rob Retallick of Marshall, Dean Schultz of Juneau, Steve Dobbratz of Rio and Don Gaserude of Fort Atkinson. Schultz is the current point leader in the season point standings and has one feature win. Dobbratz is the only driver to have won two features this season. Nottestad and Gaserude have each won a feature. Other drivers with feature wins this season are John Acker of Spring Green, Rich Schumann Jr. of Portage and Al Weishoff of Otsego.
