April 27, 2002; Columbus, WI. - Rain and cold weather forced the cancellation of the Season Opener at the Columbus 151 Speedway on Sunday April 28. The upcoming weekend will have a full schedule. The first Friday night event of the season on May 3 will have six divisions in action. In addition to the late models, street stocks, hobby stocks and back ups, the 4-cylinder Bandits and the Formula Indy Racing Association will also do battle. Time trials are set for 6:15 P.M. with racing scheduled for 7:45 P.M. Then on Saturday a special Tuning & Testing session will be held from noon until 6:00 P.M. in preparation for the Wisconsin Challenge Series super late model race to be held on Sunday. Time trials on Sunday will begin at noon with racing slated for 2:00 P.M. The street stocks, hobby stocks and back ups will also be in action. |
