August 20, 2004; Columbus, WI. -  Tim Woollen of Sun Prairie won the 35-lap Late Model feature from the pole Friday night at the Columbus 151 Speedway. Woollen, a rare visitor to the Speedway, had a strong car all evening,
qualifying tenth quick in time.

Mark Remsik (#83) was victorious in the Backup race this evening.

Clayton Braaksma and John Wasserburger made contact on the back straight on lap 16 bringing the field under caution. Upon going back to green Russ Goodwin and Bill Retallick were dicing for position coming out of turn two and all down the backstretch. Something had to give, and it was Goodwin's tire - spinning him around and collecting
Retallick. Retallick maintained his position and looked for a way to get around Woollen, but was unable to do so.

Rookie driver Grant Lindner collected his second win of the year in the Street Stock feature. Starting from the pole, Lindner was able to dash away from the field at the start. Bret Schmidt was the hard charger of the race, advancing seven plans, but ran out of laps to be able to pass for the lead. Behind the leaders, several positions were swapped in one of the most competitive events of the night.

Alan Dorn scored the win in the Hobby Stock main event. Mike Kearney held the early lead but all turned to chaos on lap 12. Gary Pashley and Gary Haarklau made contact and at the same time Brandon Johnson's engine met its end. Four laps later Terry Wangsness spun solo into the turn two wall, and the lapped car of Pashley hit Larry Moen, who had been running in the fifth place spot. Moen made a pit stop to change a bent rim and came back onto the track still on the lead lap. Jim Tate, Jr. advanced eight spots over the course of the race to finish second at the line.

Ryan Destefano was the first car to take the checkered flag in the four-cylinder Bandit feature, but failed the post-race technical inspection, handing the win over to Dan Gosda. After a couple of races filled with hard luck, Mark Remsik emerged victorious in the race for the reverse-driven Backup cars.
