Chain races were the crowning event for the evening.  Keep them together and cross the line first!

Weishoff immediately began to pull away from the pack as Gerry Junget maneuvered into second with Andy Tomlinson in tow for third. By lap ten, the top three had driven away with Junget trying to run down the leader. Eight laps later, Junget would catch Weishoff and begin looking for a way around the leader. The two would encounter lapped traffic, making a pass difficult over the next ten laps. The one and only caution of the race flew on lap 28, and on the restart, Dean Schultz attempted to look to the high side for second on Junget. Schultz hung strong on the top, but was forced to settle for third. At the line, it was Weishoff out front followed by Junget, Schultz, Tomlinson and Ron Bishofberger. Aaron Wilke paced the late models in qualifying with a lap of 13.477. Weishoff and Junget were also heat winners.

Fort Atkinson's Zeke Bishofberger won his first career feature event in the street stock division. Tylor Schultz and Bishofberger made up the front row and remained side by side at the drop of the green flag. The two competitors waged an intense battle throughout the opening 11 laps with Scott Lawver watching the war from the third position. Bishofberger gained the advantage into turn one on lap 12, and Lawver immediately looked to the high side of Schultz for second. The side by side battle for second allowed Bishofberger to pull out to a very healthy lead. Lawver eventually took the second spot and began to run down the leader. But the lead was too large to overcome and Bishofberger took the victory followed by Lawver, Kevin Anderson, Schultz and Dan Schmidt. Anderson owned fast time and heat winners included Tim Syvrud and Mike Amador.

Baraboo's Andrew Junget had a very successful evening winning both the 20 lap hobby stock feature event as well as his heat race. Jason Brewster and Dustin Ward led the field to green and Brewster took the early lead out of turn two. On lap three, Junget took to the high side around Ward for second and started to work on Brewster for the lead. On lap nine, Brewster went very high in turn two and lost control bringing out the only caution of the race. This handed the lead over to Junget, and on the restart, Jim Tate would move to second and begin challenging the leader. The two drivers pulled out to a large lead, but Tate couldn't find a way around for the top spot. At the checkers, it was Junget in first followed by Tate, Lincoln Keeser, Larry Moen and Ward. Kyle Stark took honors in qualifying with a lap of 15.329. Heat winners included Tate and Junget.

Kyle Smith of Lake Mills took his front row starting spot to victory in the 18 lap bandit feature. Smith and Derek Childs led the field to the start and ran side by side till lap five when Smith took the lead. Meanwhile, Scott Bleecker moved into the top five and was shadowing Bud Riedner for second by lap seven. A lap later, Bleecker went to the high side of Riedner and took the position away. By lap 11, Bleecker had caught Smith and began looking everywhere for a lane around the leader. But the opportunity would never appear and Smith led the way to the checkers. Bleecker was second followed by Sean Watters, Shawn Scheel and Kyle Watters. Jake Wasserburger took fast time once again with a lap of 15.934. Ryan Oetzel won the last chance and heat winners were Ben Monday, Michael Heimann, Childs and Riedner.

Rick Verdon of Fitchburg took the checkers in first in the back up feature, but Ryan Oetzel made things interesting before it was over. Verdon claimed the lead half way through the event and began pulling away. But Oetzel made a late race charge to catch the leader and the two made heavy contact, with Verdon winning the battle. Oetzel was second with David Moore in third.

Next Friday at Columbus 151 Speedway is a full program in all divisions including an appearance by the Formula Indy Racing Association. Time trials begin at 6:30 with racing at 8 pm.
