Clapper used the restart to pull alongside Gray on the high side. The two drivers battled for a lap until Clapper gained control of the top spot with Gray falling to second and Bobbi Bishofberger in third. Clapper began to pull away from the field over the next six laps. On lap 14, Gray broke loose on the front stretch and battled the condition until exiting turn two when he finally went around and brought out caution number two. After another caution a lap later, Clapper began to open up his advantage again, this time with Ron Bishofberger in tow for second. The top five spaced themselves out from each other over the final laps and at the stripe, it was Clapper for the win followed by Ron Bishofberger, Steve Dobbratz, Bobbi Bishofberger and Jason Dunn. Dean Schultz owned fast time for the late models with a lap of 13.440. Heat winners included Al Weishoff and Jeff Falbe.

Ed Jackson of Madison earned his second feature win of the season in the 25 lap street stock feature event. Starting on the inside of row one, Jackson took the lead from Tylor Schultz on the opening lap of the race. The inside lane began to follow Jackson under Schultz as Dan Gosda and Johnny Robinson moved into second and third respectively. The leaders ran nose to tail until lap 14 when Robinson went to the high side of Gosda looking for second. Robinson held the spot for two laps until he began to loose grip and slide back, eventually pulling into fifth behind Zeke Bishofberger and Scott Lawver. Meanwhile, Jackson was never seriously challenged as he held a healthy lead over the field. As the checkers flew, it was Jackson for the win, with Gosda, Bishofberger, Lawver and Robinson rounding out the top five. Tim Syvrud was fast qualifier with a lap of 14.027 while heat winners were Tony Showers and Kevin Anderson.

Gary Pashley of Marshall claimed his second feature win in a row with a win in the 20 lap hobby stock feature event. Pashley started his trek to the front from the final starting spot on the grid. Jason Brewster held the early lead when the first of two cautions flew on lap three. Brewster survived the restart just as another caution flew two laps later. Pashley meanwhile was using the cautions to his advantage as he picked his way through the field. Pashley went to the high side of Brewster on lap eight and made the winning pass. He immediately began to pull away from the pack as he drove to a convincing win. Following him across the line were Kyle Stark, Jim Tate, Brewster and Mike Storkson. Jim Tate once again set quick time with a lap of 15.146. Heat winners included Brewster and Jamie Dunn.

Kyle Watters of Stoughton claimed victory in a very exciting 18 lap bandit feature event. Matt Reuter and Chris Higgins paced the field to green with Reuter grabbing the early lead out of turn two. Meanwhile, the pack bunched up behind him going three and sometimes four wide as they fought for position. Watters charged into the top five on lap three while Josh Bisbee took the top spot from Reuter. Lap four saw the only caution of the race with Watters lining up right behind Bisbee on the restart with Stephen Scheel and Gary Stark in third and fourth. On the restart, the leaders began a four way battle for the top spot, with Watters eventually gaining the position on lap eight. Stark followed into second and immediately began hounding the leader for the position. Stark tried every groove to get around Watters as the two made contact several times. As the leaders entered turn three coming to the while flag, Stark made heavy contact with the rear bumper of Watters which sent him sliding into the corner and through the grass. But Watters held strong and maintained the top spot all the way to the checkers. Rounding out the top five were Stark, Scheel, Jake Wasserburger and Bisbee. Wasserburger set fast time with a lap of 15.869 while heat winners included Reuter, Stark and Jake Vanoskey.

In wild and crazy backup action, George Wachuta of Brooklyn won the eight lap feature event. Wayne Hook lead the first lap as Wachuta ran him down. Wachuta made the winning pass on lap two and never relinquished the lead. Wachuta crossed under the checkers first followed by Bruce Havel and Andy Ward.

Next Friday, June 1st, is a full program in all divisions at Columbus 151 Speedway. Time trials begin at 6:30 with racing at 8 pm.
