The following rules are for the "Street Stock Division". Interpretation or amendment to these rules may be made at any time. The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide orderly conduct and to establish minimum requirements for the racing events. These rules shall cover the condition of all events. All participants are deemed to have complied with these rules upon participating in these events. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from publications or compliance with these rules and/or regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants.

Track officials shall be empowered to permit minor deviations from any specifications herein or to impose any further restrictions that in their opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from alterations of specifications. Any interpretations or deviations of these rules are left to the officials. Their decision is final.

ELIGIBLE MODELS: 1960 or newer sedans or hardtops. No station wagons, convertibles, jeeps, suburbans, vans, pickup trucks, El Caminos, Rancheros, Cameros, Firebirds, or similar vehicles will be allowed. (Leaf spring cars are allowed).

WHEELBASE: 108" minimum as listed by manufacturer. On your car it must measure with in one inch of stock.

WEIGHT RULE: 3200 lbs., minimum after race.

FRAME: Must be stock. Frame must be stock factory from as to body. Frame may be reinforced for safety only. Design may not be altered. Uni-body cars are okay and may be reinforced, but must maintain the full uni-body floor structure. Front to rear stub may be joined end to end with same thickness steel as the stock frame. Consult the street stock representative regarding the special requirements of a uni-body type car.

ROLL BARS: Four point roll cages are required and must be constructed of a minimum of 1 ¾" x .090 round steel tubing. NO cast iron pipes or exhaust tubing. NO offset cages. Rear main cage hoop no further back than 41 inches from the center-most forward part of the roof.

There must be a minimum of 4 bars in the driver's door and 2 bars in the passenger's door, all of 1 ¾" x .090 tubing. Steel plates are required in the driver's door protection bar area with minimum 1/8" thickness. The stock steel door panels must be removed and the 4 door bars and protective plate must fit flush with the outer door skin. A radiator protection bar may be added outside the car body on the bumper and may be constructed of 1 ¾" or smaller tubing and be no wider than the frame rails with a single bar going back no further than the front of the upper A frame. The upper head hoop must have a single bar added to it. Both right and left vent window support bars must be added in for protection. Maximum bumper corner support bars are two. Left foot protection bar mandatory between the main hoop and the firewall.

SUSPENSION: Only stock design components may be used. Springs may not be cut or altered. No spring spacers or lowering blocks. No screw-like type devices allowed. Rear springs must have one pigtail. Ballast may be added but not mounted in the driver's compartment. Ballast must be painted white and include car number and division on it. May use steering quickover or after market steering boxes.

ALL BALLAST MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2-1/2" BOLTS HOLDING IT DOWN.

Stock mount shocks front and rear, no adjustable shocks. Spring, shocks, and all suspension must be in stock OEM location and stock mounts.

BODIES: Stock factory OEM steel bodies only. Any body repairs must not alter the stock appearance except for front and rear nose, rear spoiler and ground affects. Must measure within one inch of stock OEM measurement. Bumper must be stock. Bumper ends must be bolted or welded to the body (not trimmed or cut to prevent hooking of another car. Exterior rub rail may be added but no larger that 1 ½" tubing and the ends must be trimmed at a 45 degree angle and contain no sharp edges and must be capped. Rear rub rails must not extend on the outside of the bumper. Rub rails must not exceed 108". The rear quarter panels behind the wheels may be reinforced with steel tubing.

The reinforcement must be securely welded to the frame. Radiator and fuel cell protection hoop allowed (subject to approval) Hoop cannot extend outside of the car. Interior body panels that are secured with bolts or screws may be removed. Stock interior floor, and rear inner fender wells must remain in place as much as possible in stock location and stock appearance. A good rear fire wall must be installed. The full stock front fire wall must remain in place and any holes must be patched and sealed. If the floor is badly rusted or been removed, it must be patched or replaced in a factory appearing manner with 20 gauge (.0359") thick steel plate. Floor must remain intact. Must be firewall below rear window with 20 gauge steel. Trunk floor may be removed.

All interior sheeting must provide for the easy exit of the driver through either side of the vehicle. All cars must have tow hooks front and rear (looped chain is OK). Doors must be securely welded or riveted and or bolted. All rust damage must be patched with 20 gauge steel. Stock hood and trunk latches and hinges must be removed and replaced with hood pins. No hood scoops or holes allowed in hood.
Windshield must be replaced by three ½ inch steel bars directly in front of the driver and covered in ½ inch screen. Stock OEM windshield post must be in stock position. The screen must be constructed of 1/2" square screen. No common house type window screen allowed. Screen must be properly bolted, reinforced, and must be strong enough to resist the impact of flying debris and in stock window place.
All chrome, plastic trim and exterior mirrors must be removed. Interior sheeting must not obstruct access for vehicle inspections. Any body repair must not alter stock appearance or stock measurement. A small rear spoiler will be allowed. 8" tall max and can use after-market nose and rear tail of your choice.

INTERIORS: All flammable material must be removed. Dash board removal is mandatory. Stock seats must be removed and an after-market racing type safety seat must be installed as per manufacturers requirements. Only aluminum racing seats will be allowed. Seats may be mounted to the frame or roll cage. Steering wheels and columns may be altered to improve safety. Seats must be mounted to frame or cage.

DRIVELINES: Must remain stock automatic transmission with stock working converter. In gear,with the brakes on the car must idle in forward and reverse and not move without stalling. Locked, welded or positraction rearends are allowed.

BRAKES: Must be a stock mastercylinder in stock location. No shutoff devices or aftermarket proportioning valve. One stock master cylinder only. All 4 brakes must work. Pedals may extend to accommodate driver but not the mastercylinder.

EXHAUST: Single or dual pipes are allowed. All cars will have mufflers with down spouts that extend behind driver. Cars must not exceed acceptable noise level. Drivers will be notified if in violation. All cars MUST have mufflers.

FUEL TANKS: Stock tanks must be replaced with an approved racing fuel cell. All tanks must be safely mounted in the trunk area as far forward as possible and between the frame rails. Trunk floor may be removed. Fuel line must remain under the floor with adequate protection. Fuel cell must be enclosed in a minimum 18 gauge steel box and strapped with a minimum 1" wide steel strapping (two straps in each direction). Minimum clearance to ground is 12" from bottom of tank.

WHEELS: Maximum width 8". All wheels to be steel of either full racing design or 8 spoke wagon wheel type. All wheels must have oversized racing type lug nuts. Minimum wheel stud diameter is 1/2'. No spacers, trim rings or mud plugs.

TIRES: D.O.T. approved 70 or 75 series tires only. Maximum size L-70 or P 255/70 D.O.T. and original tire size markings must be visible upon inspection. No truck, snow or aggressive mud tires marketed as LT70, LT75 etc. Tires may be grooved. Only other tire allowed will be track tire. Currently Goodyear, see Rep. for approved number.

BATTERY/ELECTRICAL: Battery must be moved to the driver's compartment or trunk area and must be enclosed in a marine type battery box or metal box. Cables must be color coded as follows: RED + and BLACK -. The ignition switch must be clearly marked ON/OFF and must be in easy reach of the driver and safety crew. Top of battery box must be marked with positive and negative signs for safety crew purposes.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT: 5 point racing seat belt harness is mandatory. 3" lap and shoulder harness and a 2" crotch strap is mandatory. The seatbelt should be mounted to the roll cage at a 45 degree angle to the floor. The shoulder belts must be mounted level with or slightly below the driver's shoulders. At no time should the shoulder belts wrap around the top of the driver's shoulders and mount to the cage. Driver's must wear an approved helmet and goggles or shield at all times. A snell 90 is MANDATORY. A full face helmet is mandatory. SFI approved driver's suit is mandatory. Full shoes required. Nomex type suggested. Neck braces and gloves are mandatory. Drive shaft must be painted white. A 360 degree steel drive shaft hoop located within the first 6" behind the front U-joint and bolted through the floor is required. A properly mounted fire extinguisher with metal mounts, not plastic mounts or tape, must be installed within easy reach of the driver. All cars shall have operational brakes on all four wheels. Window net is mandatory. It is suggested a large type mesh be used. Net should release from the top front corner with a seat belt type snap and drop downward. All cars required to have adequate roll bar padding and an approved fan shroud. Two throttle return springs are mandatory on carburetor.

GENERAL APPEARANCE: All cars should be painted a light or bright color. Numbers will be assigned by the track. Number must be at least 16" high and 3" wide and must be on the door. Numbers must also be on front and rear of car 4" high or larger. Letters will not be allowed as part of a car number unless okayed by the promoters. A triple digit number will not be allowed. All cars must be neatly painted and lettered. No spray bomb numbers. Numbers must be in contrasting color.

NO SILVER OR METALLIC NUMBERS. Officials may disqualify any car that does not project a neat professional image. It is the driver/owner's responsibility to insure that the scorer can read the car number without difficulty. Track management will make every effort to prevent duplicate car numbers. It is the driver's responsibility to resolve any conflict with regard to duplication of your car number. You must verify with the speedway each year for your number assignment.





ENGINES: Must be on the same corporate family as the body. May use solid motor mounts or stock in the original position. .Motor placement measurements will be taken. Engines must be chained or strapped to restrict movement if in stock mounts. Must be stock appearing. No external modifications allowed except for oil pans and valve covers.Engines must be able to be used in a convention passenger car without alteration. Castings and fitting must not be changed. No machine work on outside of engine. Single OEM carburetor (two or four barrel) only. No holley carburetors allowed. Cast iron intakes and exhaust only. No oil coolers. Ignition system must remain stock. No electric fuel pumps or belt drive pump. No MSD ignitions or dual point distributors.

RULES: Any car found not to be within the rules may (or may not) be allowed to race the night it is illegal and shall have one week to repair and get reinspected before competing again. If it is not repaired, it does not compete and loses all track points for the year. A Track Official may pick at random, at any time, any car that he feels is overpowering or dominating for an inspection. This also includes checking the top four in the feature, if car is found to be illegal after the feature it will lose all money for that evening and points for the year and also two weeks suspension first time. Engine setback rule will be measured from center of axle tube to the back edge of the engine block.

ENGINE CLAIM PROCEDURE

A.    $325 cash claim on engine. $25 to wrecker for pulling engine or $50 which goes to wrecker for pulling engines out of both cars on an engine swap claim ( $25.00 from each driver ) . The driver being claimed has the right to choose or refuse all claims.

B.    CLAIM DOES NOT INCLUDE: 1. Flexplate 2. Carburetor 3. Starter 4. Motor mount 5. Sending units and switches for oil pressure and water temperature 6. fan and pulleys 7. Dip stick 8. Water and fuel pump 9. Distributor and wires 10. Thermostat and housing 11. Exhaust manifolds.

C. First four position finishers (whether running or not) are subject to engine claim by any other driver finishing fifth and lower in the feature and still running competitively at the end of the feature which is defined as running on the same lap as the fourth place car. The engine will go to the luck of the draw in case of multiple clams on the same engine.

D. The driver making the claim must drive his race car under it's own power, directly to the claim area after the feature and must make a claim or lose all money and points for that night.

E. All drivers must stay in their cars in the claiming area.

F. Claims must be made within 5 minutes of the end of the feature race and all claimed engines must be completely removed within 90 minutes of the claim.

G. Claims must be made to Street Stock Rep/Track Official and $325 cash must be paid upon declaration of intention to claim.

H. First sell or no sell by driver being claimed is binding.

I.    Only the driver may claim the engine, and only the driver may agree to sell or refuse the engine claim. Only the driver and one cool down person is allowed in claim area.




J. First refusal to sell or swap will result in forfeiture of all cash and contingency winning from the feature. Any trophy earned in the feature plus all track points for the year will be lost. Any driver refusing to sell or swap the engine, when claimed within the rules and regardless of reinstatement with the track, forfeits his right to claim an engine for 12 months from date of his refusal. First refusal to sell will result in the driver being suspended from any competition at the track for 30 days from date of refusal. Second refusal to sell will result in the driver being suspended from competition at the track for one year from date of refusal. A refusal will result in suspension from all area tracks for length of suspension. (Luxemburg, Seymour, Sturgeon Bay )

K. Any driver found to be claiming an engine for anyone other than himself will loose all track points for the year and will be suspended for 14 days or until a $500 cash fine is paid to the track.

L. All claimed engines must be removed from the car at the track. Once removal has begun, the sale is final.

M. Any sabotage to the claimed engine will result in saboteurs suspension from track competition for 21 days or until a $500 cash fine is paid to the track.

N. Anyone owning more than one car cannot make a claim if one of his cars finishes in the top four.

O. Any driver using any device which is intended to deceive other drivers including devices that squirt oil into or on to the engine which gives the outward appearance of a blown engine will result in the forfeit of all money and trophy earned in that event, loss of all track points, suspension from track events for 14 calendar days for the date of infraction, or until such time as $300 fine is paid to the track.

P. No driver may claim any other driver more than once during the current calendar year.

Q. No driver may claim more than two engines during weekly season events. After opening night, driver may not be allowed to claim on first two nights at track, however, driver may claim during his/her third straight night of racing.

R. Driver making claim must go directly to claim area. He/she must not leave the track surface, stop his/her vehicle or consult with anyone else. One cool down lap allowed.

S. The top 4 drivers must proceed directly to the claim area(the feature winner is allowed to carry the checkered flag for an additional victory lap). One cool down lap is allowed. Driver's must remain in the claim area in his/her car with the engine shut off after being cooled down or until directed otherwise by the track official.
