Two cautions on the opening lap of the Siam mixed the lineup, but when things settled down, Von Eytcheson set a quick pace and pulled away from the pack. Current division point leader and defending Slam champion, Gregg Siebold, broke from a battle with Fred Davister and Brian Drexler into the runner up spot on lap 4 an began to chip away at Eytchesons lead. A final caution on lap 7, bunched the field and put Siebold in the front for the restart, when Eytcheson had to pit for a fiat tire. Davister, Charlie Krotl, James Tebon and Drexter were bunched right behind.

Siebold pulled to a couple length lead while Davister and Krolt baffled for second. On lap 13, Kroll was able to take over the runner up spot and set out after Siebold. It took three laps to close the gap and the final five laps saw a furious battle for the lead. Siebold ran his line and Kroll was trying every move to get by. Lapped cars also aided Siebold to keep Kroll behind. Siebold drove off with his second straight Slam feature win and became the third driver in the series to win back to back events. Kroll was right behind at the finish for second. Davister was third with Tebon in fourth. Mike Coel nipped Drexter at the line for the fifth spot.

Craig Sampone set the pace in the Bomber finale for the first four laps before James Bosman took charge on lap 5. Wayne Moore drove into second on lap 5 and pulled up on the leader. The pair pulled away from the field leaving a second battle for third place. Moore pressured the leader, finally getting an opening on tap 13 to sneak by into the top spot. Moore started to open a lead but Bosman pulled up on the leader for the final 5 laps. On the final lap, Moore was leading entering turn three when the right rear tire popped on his car. He was able to hold the handle and held off Bosman to win his seconds straight feature. Bosman was a half length back in second. Current division point leader, Jeremy Wiitata ended up third with Scott Reinhardt in fourth and Ford Malvitz fifth.

Rookie contender, Tony Herbst, settled into the lead of the Modified main followed by Randy LeMieux, Shawn Olson, Craig Paque and Randie Back. Olson moved into the runner up spot on lap 9, but clipped a track tire 2 laps later which broke the left front tire, causing him to stall in turn four, bringing out the lone caution of the race. Back inherited the lead during the caution when Herbst developed a trany problem in his car, forcing him to the pit. Back held off Tom Stark for the final 2 laps to claim his second feature win of the season here. Stark, LeMieux, Jeremy Jacobs, Rick LeMieux and Paque rounded out the top six.

Bernie Reinhardt pulled the lead at the start of the Stock Car main, leading for 2 laps before Jerry Wilinski pulled into the top spot on lap 3. Once in front, Wilinski slowly pulled away from the pack and collected his first career Door County feature win. Reinhardt had his hands full for most of the race with Dale Stroschein and Troy DeGrave battling together. Reinhardt was able to hold off all challenges to take the runner up spot with Stroschein, in only his second time driving this season, taking third. DeGrave, Kerry Douglas and Dave Bouche rounded out the top six.

Next Saturday night will be the final race of the 2001 season at the Door County Speedway. All four point races will be settled. Racing starts at 6 PM.
