Eagle Valley Season Begins April 23rd

April 15th, 2006 - Jim Falls WI – The 2006 auto racing season at the Eagle Valley Speedway began on April 13th when the first of two practice sessions saw approximately fifty race cars and drivers shake off the cobwebs from the off season and test out new or improved equipment in preparation for the season opener at the Chippewa County oval. After another practice session on April 20th , the season opener is slated for Sunday night, April 23rd with the first green flag to drop at 6 p.m.

Once again in 2006, the Eagle Valley Speedway will be sanctioned by the WISSOTA Promoters Association with Late Models, Modifieds, Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks and Street Stocks all flying the WISSOTA banner in addition to the Eagle Valley Pure Stocks.

An exciting and varied schedule awaits the race fans in 2006 including the first ever appearance of the winged, 410 Outlaw Sprint Cars of the Interstates Racing Association. All tracks records are sure to fall on June 25th when these open wheel warriors tear around the Eagle Valley three eighth mile oval. Midwest Modifieds and Pure Stocks will share the card on that night.

Regular racing will continue throughout the summer with the Season Championships slated for August 27th . Special race nights include Memorial Day racing on May 29th , doubleheaders slated on July 2nd and 3rd and July 22nd and 23rd and the Lonnie Leu Memorial Race on September 3rd .
