Three laps later, Bricker battled back using the inside groove while Ostrowski charged up from his inside fifth row starting spot to join in a spirited three way duel for the lead. On lap 13, Bricker slipped underneath Fiedler, who was starting to slow along the outside groove.
The rim riding Ostrowski then began to mount his challenge for the lead on lap 22. Three laps later, Ostrowski darted past Bricker to become the third different leader of the hotly contested event.

Bricker then fought his way back into contention in the closing stages of the race as the two front runners waged a tight side-by-side battle during the next two circuits. On lap 27, Bricker finally surged ahead of Ostrowski and held on down the stretch to earn his initial EWSC Winged Super Modified victory by less than one car length.
Bricker's victory came in a car formerly driven by the late Pat Rand of Mishicot, who was killed in a racing accident at Sheboygan County Fair Park on July 9, 1994. The race also marked the first EWSC Winged Super Modified feature victory for the Rand family team which is owned by Pat's father Neil.
Ostrowski had to settle for second, second started Chuck Melis of Plymouth finished third, Fiedler fell back to fourth and fast qualifier Eddie Staehler of Kewaskum came from the 11th starting spot to place fifth.

Defending track champion and current point leader Steve Hoffmann of Plymouth posted his first feature victory on the season in wire to wire fashion during the 25 lap Limited Late Model main event.
Hoffmann jumped into the lead on the drop of the green flag from the pole position. By lap ten, the 16 year Limited Late Model veteran had built up a full-straightaway advantage over outside second row started Howie Weiss of Glenbeulah.
Hoffmann began to work his way thought the tail end of the field on lap 15, while sixth starter Dick Hed of Plymouth slipped past Weiss to assume the runner-up spot. The current Limited Late Model point leader maintained a solid cushion over the final 10 laps on the way to a full-straightaway margin of victory over second place Hed in the non-stop race.
Weiss finished third, outside front row starter Steve Zieglebauer of Sheboygan was fourth and Plymouth's Dan Dippel finished fifth after starting eighth.

Super Stock point leader Tim Thompson of Campbellsport picked up his third victory of the year in the 20 lap feature race.
Polesitter Jeff Muehlbauer of Elkhart Lake grabbed the lead on the drop of the green flag. On lap three, Thompson moved in from
the third starting spot to take over the top position in turn two.
The only red flag of the event appeared on lap four for a spin involving Kiel's Dean Gosse. When the race resumed, Thompson powered out to a solid advantage over the rest of the field.
Thompson fended off a late race charge from second row starter J.J. Walvoord of Oostburg to post his fourth career Super Stock feature triumph.
Walvoord finished second, Muehlbauer was third, Kevin Kenealy of Hebertus came up from the fifth row to place fourth and Greenleaf's Dave Horneck rounded out the top five.
Gary Laack won the 15 lap Winged Super Modified "B" Semi-feature. Scott Haugstad of Plymouth was victorious in the 15 lap Limited Late Model semi-feature and Plymouth's Brian Kessler captured the 15 lap Super Stock semi-feature.

Off to the left is Miss EWSC Haley Ditter, while Sheila Sokel (center) and Kim Rand (right) were the representatives of Budweiser. The ladies joined all the winners in victory lane, helping those lucky drivers look a bit better!! |
Racing action each Saturday Night, on the 1/3 Mile clay oval begins with the first race at 7:00 P.M., with qualifying in all three classes taking place at 6:00 P.M. The stands open at 5:00 P.M. Action takes place in the Winged Super Modified, Limited Late Model and Super Stock divisions. Over 110 cars compete nightly!!
