May 19, 2001; Freeport, IL - It seems in the latemodel division every time Darren Miller 32D shows up at Freeport Raceway the results end up the same,that is Miller Sweeping the class. He was victoriois working his way to the front in the heat race as well as the feature event. Ryan Dolan won his heat in the Latemodel class as well as in the modified class. Bob Sillagi rounded of the Latemodels with his heat race win. Mike Garland and Scott Strohecker won there heat races also in the Mod Class. The Mod
class feature was exciting as usual . Kenny Konstabader jumpeped to an early lead and
holding off the pack for the first part of the race then being overtaken by Mike
Garland.Garland seemed to have thigs pretty well wraped up bulleting his way to the front
after starting in the number7 spot but then the yellow fell allowing the pack to be placed
on his rear bumper. Ryan Dolan took full It was a showdown as usual in the Sportsman Class between Jamie Pfeiffer and Dana Estabrooks in the feature Pfeiffer passed Estabrooks with three laps to go and Pfeiffers engine broke. Both Pfeiffer And Estabrooks won there heat races. Shelly Strohecker and Gary Blume won the heats in the Hobbystocks, Strohecker winning the feature. The Purestock class saw Joe Huenefeld and Chris Crase wining there heats and Neal Strange taking the checkers in the feature.
