The LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway is a 5/8 mile asphalt oval with a second 1/4 mile inner oval. The speedway first operated as a dirt track with asphalt racing starting in 1970.  The 5/8th mile has three grooves of racing and is used weekly by the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Late Models, the Grand National Sportsman, touring classes such as the NASCAR RE/MAX Challenge Series and special event classes also use the 5/8th or 1/4 mile.  The Thunderstox use the 1/4 mile on a weekly basis.  They are joined there by Hornets and Junior Cup cars on occasion.

Width All straights are 50 feet wide.  The corners on the 5/8 mile are 60 feet wide.   Turns 2 and 3 are 50 feet wide on the 1/4 mile, turns 1 and 4 are 75 feet wide.
Banking The 5/8 mile track has 4 degree banking in the straights with 4,6, and 9 degree banking in the corners.  The 1/4 mile has various banking.
Retaining Wall The speedway has a steel reinforced concrete outer wall, 3.5 feet high and 90 degrees to the racing surface.  Moveable highway barriers are used to form an inner wall for special events that require pit stops.
Acreage The total track acreage is 35 acres
Safety Vehicles The speedway utilizes 3 safety trucks, 1 ambulance, and 4 recovery vehicles.
