The show was sponsored by the Parts Place of Elkhorn. Rick Corso of McHenry, Illinois won his second super stock, 20 lap feature. Jacko Terrault of Milwaukee won his first career sportsman 20 lap feature and Bob Koidahl of Cary, IL. had a clean sweep of the sport truck division.
The super late model feature was only in hot laps when Larry Surleta got knocked around, causing the outside pole sitter to move to the pits for some quick repairs. Russ Blakley shot out front at the drop of the double greens, with Brian Urlich, Paul Loppnow, Denny Hiffman and Tim Lynn Jr. all over the leader. On lap five, Mark Simonsen spun, stopping the action for the first time.
On the restart, Loppnow slipped in front, but Blakley wasn't going to settle for second, grabbing the lead, one lap later. Then Loppnow moved back in front on lap eight, just before the next caution was shown for Urlich's stalled mount. Blakey dove in front at the next green, with Loppnow dicing at his side. Lap eleven, Loppnow was clearly in front, but one lap later, it was Blakley again. Right behind the top two, Lynn and Brad Durbin were putting on their own show.

They scatter everywhere! Tim Lynn Jr. (#88) looped his ride during Late Model feature action, but heads up driving by the rest of the field kept the incident from becoming an accident. |
By lap fourteen, Al Schill was up to fifth. On lap nineteen Loppnow forged in front one more time, leading the next three laps before the next caution for a solo spin by Lynn. Just after Durbin got by him for the third spot. Only one more lap was completed, when Denny Hiffman and Randy Rodgers got together, stopping action one more time.
Loppnow stayed in front one more lap, after the next green but Durbin slipped under the leader on lap twenty three, just before Urlich stalled again slowing the race one last time. The seven lap dash was great, as Durbin stayed in front two more lap, with Schill at his side. Two laps later, Schill inched in front, but Durbin didn't let the new leader get any breathing room. Throughout the field movement was occurring, as Schill won the event, Durbin had Joe Fisher on his heels in third. Danny Darnell who was boxed in for many laps, nipped Loppnow for fourth, Landry Potter was next, with Kent Burkoth and Garrett Fait rounding out the top eight, in this quick event, even with the five cautions.

Something happened to Adam Regnier's mount, stalling in turn one, bringing out the first caution flag of this event, on lap five. Corso grabbed the lead on the restart, but two laps later, Shane Bishop collected Todd Peterson and Jim Hughes in turn two, causing a very lengthy delay.
Corso remained in front on the next green, with Koidahl, Jeff Lorenz and Norton getting by Paulsen before the lap was over. John Maki worked on Paulsen the next two laps, picking off the former leader on lap twelve. Out of nowhere Marry Robb was along side Maki one lap later, slipping past him and Norton to take over second before two more laps were in the books.
Corso held his line, taking the win, Robb and Zac Deeringer nipped Koidahl at the wire, with Lorenz, Norton, Tess and Dan Huber next, in another close contest.
