Lake Geneva Raceway - Indoors and out!!
March 29, 1998; Lake Geneva, WI. - With the BARS "Let's Go Racing" Auto show completed and the unusually warm weather on the horizon , Lake Geneva Raceway is gearing up for the beginning of it's 33rd. season of oval track stock car racing. Saturday night April 4th. the world's fastest one third mile paved banked oval will come alive , in the first of 33 weekly shows.
On Friday night May 22nd. the regular weekly show will run , due to an Short series track super truck Saturday night May 23rd.

On opening night four divisions will compete. The super late models , Herb's super stocks , Allison Legacy cars and sport trucks will race in time trials, dash events and features.
The "out of car " intro will begin each feature event , when time permits and good weather. Time Trials will be at 6 pm. first race at 7:30 sharp, each week. The Sunday late afternoon shows will begin monthly on June 7th. as the Small car championship series in the first of 4 shows , then topping off the season with the Small car world championships on Friday night October 2nd.
The Select Performance Legend cars , Outlaw Rascals, mini modifieds , Sport trucks , Dwarf cars , super mini cups and many other club type associations should produce a very large competitive field of race cars.

Special oval track events , include three Mid American point series events, April 25th. June 13th. October 3rd. and 4th. The Midwest Enduro series will hold three events here also , May 25th. July 26th. and September 4th.
The much talked about debut of the NASCAR/ ARTGO series is set for July 4th. The annual "run what ya brung *' show will see alot more dirt track drivers this year , as the LGR regulars will not be required to run. This show has grown into a great night for dirt track cars to show off some real outrageous cars , that run in the mid 15's. around the one third mile oval.
Off the paved oval, weekly Pro Moto cross racing begins May 1st. and runs until September 4th, with the only break in that schedule being July 3rd.
For nearly 30 years the annual off road memorial weekend program has brought in drivers from all over the world. This year, the Memorial weekend 100, will be May 23rd. and 24th. and the Off road nationals on July 11th. and 12th.
