The IMCA Stock Car feature had trouble getting started and then several other cautions during the first half of the race that kept the pack tight. Benji LaCrosse led the first lap with Shawn Wagner also taking a chance to lead before Rod Snellenberger pulled into the top spot. Joe White moved into the runner up spot on lap 6 with Larry Karcz, Jr. in third.

After a final caution on lap 12, the green stayed out for 10 lap stretch and some tight racing, Snellenberger and White pulled away from the field in a battle for the lead. Both drivers hugging the inside line and White applied plenty of pressure to take away the lead. Snellenberger met every challenge and was able to run to his first feature win of the season here. White, the point leader, took the runner up spot with Karcz holding on for the third place finish. Brian Bruechert took fourth with Eric VanIten in fifth and John Heinz in sixth.

Mike Mashl (#05) won his first IMCA Modified feature at Luxemburg Tri-Star raceway this season during a special race program that opened the Kewaunee County Fair.  Mashl fended off R.M. Van Pay for the victory this evening. 72999a.jpg (19188 bytes)

Brian Baenen led the opening two circuits of the IMCA Modified main before Mike Klenz took over bringing Mike Mashl, R.M. Van Pay, Dan Deau and Dave Zeitler along. A lap 7 caution bunched the field for the final time and Mashl wrestled the lead away from Klenz and Van Pay followed into second. The two leaders pulled away from the pack with Mashl matching Van Pay move for move to hold on to win his first feature of the season here.

The battle was tight for third place with Klenz, Dean Maurer, Dan Deau, Roy lhlenfeld, Zeitler and Brian Mullan in the pack. All were trying to run the low line, except Klenz, who did a great job holding outside to stay a contender for the top four. Maurer was able to take the third place finish with Ihlenfeld taking fourth. Mullen nipped Klenz for fifth place at the line with Klenz rounding out the top six.

Ed Danoff set the pace for the Sport Truck division main with Kevin Strebel holding second until team mate, Ben Kroll took over on tap 4. Kroll was able to hold the lead at the finish for his sixth feature win of the year with Danoff in second, Strebel ran to third place with Dan Davister fourth, Brandon Blashe fifth and Tom Dom sixth.
