Luxemburg Tri-Star sets August schedule!
By Dave Panske

July 30, 2001; Luxemburg, WI. - The Luxemburg Tri Star Speedway is getting ready for the final run of the 2001 season.  This week, August 3, there will be NO racing on Friday night because of the county fair.

Starting with the 10th, three races remain on the schedule. All four divisions will complete on the 10th with a regular program.

The following week, the program makes a switch for one of the biggest shows ever run at tri star. On Thursday night, August 16, the track will host an IMCA doubleheader. There will be a National Modified and Midwest Motorsports Stock Car special held at the 1/3 mile clay oval.

The Mods will run a $1500 to win feature event and the stock cars will compete in a $1000 to win feature. Both are traveling series for IMCA and the quality local group of drivers will be joined by some of the best drivers in the country.

Pit gates open at 4 PM for the special and the grandstand at 5 PM. Race time has been moved up to 6:30. Only the IMCA divisions will be on hand. The Streets and Trucks will have a night off. There will be no racing on Friday, the 17th, except as a rain date for Thursday night.

The season will close on the 24th with the final point night for all divisions.

The Luxemburg Tri Star Speedway is located at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds in Luxemburg, WI, 15 miles east of Green Bay off HWY 54.
