Dave Davister (#5) won his second Sport Truck division feature of the season Friday night at Luxemburg Tri-Star Speedway.

Eddie Anschutz took the helm of the Street feature with Fred Davister pulling into second, Marty Bielke third, Tim Cayemberg fourth and James Van Rixel fifth. Anschutz and Davister pulled away from the field with Davister applying heavy pressure on the leader, finally getting alongside out of turn two on lap 10 to take over the lead. Jamie Colwell led the charge from the pack taking over second on lap 11 when Anschutz dropped off the pace.

Jeff Vlies, point leader, Jesse Colwell, Laurel Ettien and Charlie Kroll were right behind. Jamie Colwell pulled up behind the leader after closing the gap and tries several times to get the inside line, but Davister slammed the door each time. Jesse pulled into third on lap 17 and pulled up on his brother for the race for the lead. Davister took a couple length lead at the finish with Jesse edging Jamie on the final lap for the runner up spot. Vlies took fourth with Ettien and Kroll rounding out the top six. The win was the first of the season for Davister .

Kyle Fredrick pulled off the front row into the lead of the Stock Car main followed by Travis Van Straten, Bryan Techmeier, Brian Bruechert, Larry Ingebretson and Mike Weitor. Bruechert moved into the runner up spot on lap 5 and worked on the leader until take taking over the lead on lap 10. Once in front, Bruechert pulled away from the pack to win a division leading third feature. Fredrick ran to a strong second place finish with Larry Karcz, Jr taking the third place finish. Van Straten was fourth. Jay Matthias won a tight battle in the middle of the pack to take fifth and Craig Paque took sixth.

Chad Nelson took charge of the Modified main for the first two laps before Rob Waechter pulled into the top spot and began to pull away from the field. Bill Lemmens moved behind Nelson in third with Dan Deau, Brain Mullen, Tom Baumgart and Joel Schmit in line.

The first caution of the feature appeared on lap 8 for a spin which erased Waechters lead and bunched the field. Waechter again set the pace, pulling away from the pack leaving a tight battle for the runner up spot. Lemmens moved into second on lap 9 and Brian Mullen broke free of the pack to take third 2 laps later. Point leader, R.M. Van Pay moved into fourth on lap 13 with Joe White and Chris Derenne in tow.

On lap 18, Mullen took the runner up spot from Lemmens and started to close the huge gap on the leader. Waechter continued to set the pace to the finish without any serious challenge to win his first career modified feature. Mullen took the runner up finish with Lemmens, Van Pay, Derenne and Jared Siefert rounding out the top six.

The finishes for Mullen and Van Pay put them in a tie for the point lead at 375 each. The final point night is on August 24th. Next weeks Nationals event does not count toward track points.

Shawn Dorn took control of the Sport Truck final and opened big lead with Dave Davister taking over the runner up spot from point leader, Kevin Strebel on lap 5. Davister slowly cut the lead and moved outside to take the lead on lap 10. Davister took his second feature win of the year over Dorn. Jerry Scray, Jr was third with Strebel taking fourth. Ben Kroll and Aaron Behnke rounded out the top six.

Next week, Tri Star shifts gears to a special Thursday night race. Benji LaCrosse holds a strong 394 – 370 point lead over Tim Van De Hei and is looking for his first career title at his hometown track. Jesse Colwell is a 10 point leader over Mike Coel in the Street Stock division. Jesse has one feature win so far and Coel has 2 checkers to his credit.
