Construction delays Luxemburg Opener... 2001 Season to start April 27th. By Dave Panske

April 9, 2001; Luxemburg, WI. - Several projects underway at the Luxemburg Tri Star Speedway have been delayed because of the late arrival of spring this year. The result is the delay in the 2001 racing season to Friday night, April 27.

The full program of IMCA Modified, IMCA Stock Car, Street Stock and Sport Truck racing action will take to the l/3 mile clay oval with a 7PM start time every week through August 24.

Most of the work being done is in the pit area. The outside fence between the pit area and the parking lot in being replaced. New lighting is being added and the sound system is being up-graded.

Tri Star Promotions has been busy readying the facility for their 14th season opener. With a bit of co-operation from the weather, all of the work will be completed by the April 27 opener.
