Construction delays Luxemburg Opener...
2001 Season to start April 27th.

April 17, 2001; Luxemburg, WI. - The Luxemburg Tri Star Speedway kicked off their 2001 racing season with their annual Pre Season inspection and car show held at Dorsch Ford in Green Bay. A field of over 50 cars turned out for the chance to avoid long lines on opening night to have their cars safety inspected.

Jeff Vlies has the won  the best appearing Street Stock award at the Luxemburg Tri-Star Speedway car show.

The cars were then put on display for the fans to get a good look at prior to the season opener on April 27. Fans also voted on Best Appearing cars in each of the four divisions represented. Todd Dart was voted Best in the IMCA Modified division. IMCA Stock Car honors went to Benji LaCrosse. Street Stock was voted to Jeff Vlies and the Sport Truck went to Dean Wiltzius.

The 2001 season officially kicks off on Friday night, April 27 with all four divisions making up the weekly programs. Racing starts at 7 PM every Friday night. The Luxemburg Tri Star Speedway is located at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds in Luxemburg, 15 miles west of Green Bay.
