Perhaps the bravest man at the track, Steve Kastern racked up another Motorcycle main event win.

Wisconsin Rapid’s Pat Bean made his return from injury a triumphant one with a heat race win in front of eleven other cycles. Hatley’s Steve Kasten came from the back row in the six lap heat to place second on his SK Service Yamaha 600. For the ten lap final Bean led the first five laps with Kasten taking over the top spot on lap six, just as Big Fall’s Lee Johnson fell by himself in turn three. The race was stopped and it became a four-lap shootout with the single file restart. Kasten held onto the top spot, while Beaver Dam’s Eric Mischler shot through the pack to take second place.
