The 2001 Track Champs are Jeff Weinfurter in the CARQUEST Super Late Models and Allan Sankey in the CARQUEST Super Stocks. Russ Weiler wrapped up the Legends point win, and the 4-Cylinder Champion is Johnny Bell. Next week the 1-Man Cruiser division points will end and in two weeks, the 2-Man Cruiser point Champion will be announced.

Ben Pettis jumped the lead in the Super Late Models. As the race went from green to checkered, Pettis fended off the rest of the field. Mark Mackesy held his second place position. Jay VanDerGeest ran third for several laps, and then lost it to Brian Back. VanDerGeest fell to fourth and Toby Rott raced fifth. Jim Duchow passed Rott for the fifth spot on lap 12. Duchow proceeded to take fourth from VanDerGeest on lap 16. Dean LaPointe was hot on Duchow's heels as he moved up to the fifth spot the next lap. Pettis won his second Super Late Model career victory, Mark Mackesy second, Brian Back third, Duchow fourth and LaPointe fifth.

The first lap of the CWSSA Super Stock feature was led by Matt Raykowski. Jim Cormack led the next five. Allan Sankey then took the led, pushing Cormack back to second, Tim Plowman third, Shawn Stelzer fourth and Merle Weinfurter fifth. The next lap Stelzer passed Plowmand, and Andy Simonis passed Weinfurter. The following lap Simonis and Weinfurter passed Plowman. Lap ten Simonis passed Stelzer and the next lap Weinfurter did the same.

After lap 11, the only caution of the event came out for rain. The cars stayed on the track for some slower laps, and after getting the drivers "thumbs up" the race resumed. Lap 12 Sankey led, Simonis second, Cormack third, Stelzer fourth and Weinfurter fifth. The top five remained the same until Cale Laessig passed Weinfurter for fifth and on the last lap, Stelzer took third from Cormack. Sankey won, Simonis second, Stelzer third, Cormack fourth and Laessig fifth.

It was a damaging feature for the Legends division, as on lap four, two cars, Dan McGiveron and Dean Fisher spun on the backstretch and were unable to continue. Lap seven another driver, Mike Bula was forced to pull off the track due to mechanical problems. Lap 12, another spin on the backstretch wrecked Eric Lokemoen, Elliott Weiler and Rick Jensen's cars. Thankfully all drivers were okay. Russ Weiler calmly worked his way through it all for the win. Phil Bickley second, Josh Schoenick third, Adam Allpress fourth and Lokemoen fifth.

Darrell Paschel led the first half of the 1-Man Cruiser feature. Rob Detwiler led the next two laps. Josh Elmhorst took away the lead from Detwiler for four laps. Detwiler challenged back and re-claimed the lead for the win. Elmhorst finished second, Don Tieman Jr. third, Travis Zvolena fourth and Paschel fifth.

The winners of the 2-Man Cruiser race were Mike Dodson and Luke Hall. Second Bob Payne and Steve Bores, and Jack Szymkowiak and Richard Cisewski third.
