June 27, 1998; Marshfield, WI: -  The rain began just as time Miller Lite time trials were about to begin.  The track was dried and the speedway continued with the program. Time Trials, dashes and heats were completed but the rain didn't hold off for the features and the speedway had to call the show.

Before the rain fell... all the CWRA Late Model heats and the dash event were completed.  Top CWRA rookie driver Brian Back (#98),  posed in victory lane after the dash while last weeks feature winner Rex Rossier (#21) took home  a win in the third heat tonight.

The winner of the evening's bike giveaway sponsored by Target was Andy Dorety from Elgin, IL.

Next week we'll have double features, with over 100 feature laps of racing on the program.  Miller Time Trials start at 5:30 p.m. with racing getting underway at 7:00 p.m.  The Rusty Wallace NASCAR Winston Cup car will also be on display and Motorcycle racing is also on the schedule of the upcoming July 3rd program.

The CWSSA Super Stocks also completed their preliminary events, as victory lane was visited by Cale Laessig (#01) after the dash, and former Pure Stock champion Johnny Bell (#99) drove his Lincoln Continental to victory in the first heat.

Marshfield Speedway is a half-mile asphalt oval, located just three miles west of Marshfield, WI on county trunk H.  The Friday night racing program features CWRA Late Models, CWSSA Super Stocks, Pure Stocks and two-main Cruisers on a weekly basis.  Be sure to look at the schedule for additional special events.

Marv Flick found the winners circle in one of the two Pure Stock events held before the rain began to fall.  Flick captured the trophy dash and later finished third in the heat event for the Pure Stocks.
