Sam Brundidge led the first two laps of the CWRA Late Model feature until Larry Lepak drove past him for the lead.  Larry was followed by his son Jeremy who had moved into second on the fourth lap.  Gary Back was also on the move climbing into third by the halfway mark, while Bobby Turzinski and Pete Kempf made up the first five positions.

Turzinski passed Back for third on lap 11, but Back reclaimed the lead on lap 12.  On the final lap Back was able to drive around Jeremy Lepak for second at the finish be he was unable to catch Larry Lapak who took the checkered flag.   Jeremy Lepak, Turzinski and Kempf claimed positions three through five.

Jason Szymkowiak made his way to the front on the final circuit of the CWSSA Super Stock feature race.  Szymkowiak ran door to door with Allan Sansky for the final three laps of the race and won the drag race off the final turn to the finish line to score the win. marsh9812b.jpg (17206 bytes)

In another caution free feature, the CWSSA Super Stock of Wes Krause led the first two laps until Scott Hamel took over the point.  Hamel led almost the first half of the feature when Chris Grosbier took the lead.  Grosbier was unable to hold off Allan Sansky and lost the lead to him on lap 22.  Jason Szymkowiak, who was not far behind Sansky led lap 22, but Sansky led the next two revolutions around the raceway.  When it came down to the dash to the checkered Szymkowiak beat out Sansky for the checkered, with Cale Laessig third, Grosbier fourth and fast qualifier Merle Weinfurter fifth.

One hot truck!  Allan Sansky had a fine evening taking the win with his truck bodied racer in the Super Stock dash and later finish a very close second in the main event! Sharp looking car!!  Chris Grosbier showed off his good looking Super Stock the right way winning the second heat.   He also led the feature race and eventually finished fourth!

Russ Weiler, returning to racing after a long retirement led the first couple laps of the Legend feature, but Paul Menard who started last made his way through the whole field and took the lead on lap three.  Menard was followed by Mike Bula, Tom Schnitzler, Pat Hinner and DuWayne Vertone. Chad Schnitzer moved into fourth behind his dad Tom on lap four, but on lap five he was passed by Hinner and Vertone.   Vertone then made a pass on Bula for second.

Clean Sweep!  Paul Menard seems to have the Legend cars figured out at Marshfield Speedway as he won every event of the evening in the class.  marsh9812g.jpg (12067 bytes)

A devastating accident on lap 17 took out numerous cars.   The remaining field saw Menard finish first, Vertone second, Bula third, while Chad Schnizter bested his father Tom to claim fourth.

In a tight field of Pure Stocks, Hank Frasch led the first six laps until fast timer Shawn Stelzer took over.  Brian Stroik  moved up along with Stelzer through the field.  Stelzer won to complete a sweep of the evenings events, Stroik was second, Frasch third, Curt Blenker fourth and Kevin Fischer fifth.   The winners of the Cruiser event were Daune Dompier and Craigh High.  The winner of the Target Bike giveaway was Mike Breu of Granton.

Next weeks racing program will be sponsored by S&S Distributing and Budweiser, and it will mark the seasons first appearance of the CENEX Mid-American Super Trucks at the raceway.
