MCR members dominated Speedweeks 97 at Volousia County Speedway's (asphlat track) in Florida. Tommy Bowles of Grand Blanc, MI won the championship and a new Jaxports chassis for his efforts. 10 of the top 15 positions went to MCR members. Jack Van Dyke of Willamston, MI has the fastest lap recorded averaging over 108 MPH on the fast 1/2 mile track.
In 1994 and 1995 the season championship was
decided in late July and early August.
In 1996 there were 3 contenders on championship night
in September.
