1. Any driver climbing out of car
during the green flag will be disqualified. (NO EXCEPTIONS)!
2. The first car to complete 150 laps is winner.
3. Starting order is determined by the date of the registration entry. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
4. The race will start 4 abreast.
5. Cars will hold their position until green flag is displayed.
6. The yellow flag will not be used. If there are cars with breakdown or crashed,
other cars will avoid them and continue race.
7. The red flag will be displayed ONLY if the track is blocked and racing cannot
continue. All cars must STOP! The race will be restarted with the cars in the
same position as before the red flag. Any car involved in the blockage that can
continue may do so.
8. The flagman will indicated the middle of the race. The white flag will indicate the
leader is on the last lap.
9. Each entry must provide a scorer. A special area will be reserved for the scorers where
they can follow the instructions of the head scorer.
10. Race may be run either clockwise or counter clock wise or half and half.
11.Track reserves the right to claim any entry of $1000.00
12. Entry is non-refundable. Entry fee cannot be sold.
13. NO 2-WAY RADIOS OR SCANNERS ALLOWED. NO MIRRORS.
14. The Enduro is open to anyone 16 years old or older.
15. Cars with flat tires must leave the racing surface. Drivers who ignore the black
flag and drive on rims will be banned from future Enduros and will not be paid for
participation.
16. Rupture of your gas tank and/or loss of gasoline requires immediate black flag.
17. Driver changes are not allowed.
18. A mandatory meeting for all drivers and scorers will be held on race day, before the
Enduro race. Driver AND scorer must be present at drivers meeting for that car to
participate.
19. Cars not removed from Speedway property within two hours after completion of the event
will become the property of Midway Speedway.
20. Car numbers will be assigned in order in which you enter the event. No duplicate car
numbers of letters are allowed.
21. Numbers will be in contrasting color to car, at least 18 inches high, painted on both
side doors and roof.
22. No gestures or symbols. No profanity allowed.
23. All cars must be inspected and in the pit area at 10:00 a.m. race day. All cars
must be inspected no later than 6:30 p.m. Racing starts at 7:00 p.m.
The Car and Body:
1. Any sedan or station wagon is eligible. (mandatory fuel cell in station wagons).
2. All flammable material in drivers compartment may be removed.
3. Must retain stock steering column.
4. No transmission or oil coolers.
5. No bracing anywhere of any kind.
6. 5-point seat belts are mandatory.
7. All doors must be welded or bolted.
8. All glass removed.
9. Fan may be replaced with STOCK electronic fan, but must be in original stock location.
10. NO ADDED WEIGHT anywhere on car.
11. Large lug nuts can be used for safety.
12. Complete metal tire wall must seal trunk area from driver's compartment.
13. Complete bumper to bumper steel unibody must be retained.
14. The stock steel unaltered floor plan, firewalls, trunk floors and wheel wells MUST BE
RETAINED. No sectioning, chopping, or channeling allowed. Plastic front wheel wells
may be removed.
15. Cars are strictly stock. No cutting, chopping, channeling or shortening allowed. Hoods
must be kept in place at all times. No gutting of any type permitted.
16. Headlights and tail lights must be removed. All body side-trim/molding must be
removed. All interior upholstery, back seat, headliner, door panels and carpet must be
removed.
17. Gas tanks must be original and must be moved into trunk and be strapped with (2)
straps; front to back and side to side. Fuel cell optional; but highly recommended.
Minimum ground clearance is 12 inches.
18. Battery may be relocated anywhere under the hood or in the driver's area, but must be
securely fastened and covered.
19. Trunk lock must be removed and hood pins must be used on front hood.
20. May use steel braid fuel line or plastic racing fuel line from tank only.
21. No fuel pressure systems.
22. Must cover hole in rear of drivers compartment that is left when rear seat is removed.
May be aluminum to cover and may not be channeled air or be used as a deflective
device.
23. Rules say that bumper must be welded or chained to frame. Do not reinforce bumper in
the process.
24. Four or six point roll cages mandatory. Gutting of drivers side door allowed
only for protection bars. Bars must not pass through or outside of doors, floor
plan, or front and rear firewalls.
25. Roll cage may come to inside panel of passenger side door. No gutting of
passenger side doors; if so for bars; recover with sheet metal.
26. Drivers will be allowed to change FLAT TIRES ONLY in pit are. Tire must be flat
and drivers MUST USE CAUTION in pit area. Anyone changing a tire that is not flat will be
disqualified.
27.There will be no speeding or erratic driving in the pit area. Drivers will be
instructed when to re-enter the racing surface by track official ONLY. Any driver
returning to the race without a track official's approval will be disqualified.
28. Clarification in carburetor. Cars must run carb. system that is originally came out
with. Cannot change systems.
29. May cut lip on wheel wells out but must stay 2 inches of stock after cutting.
Suspension
1. No modifying of suspension is allowed. THIS MEANS NONE! (Including caster and camber 2
% maximum)
2. Suspension parts must remain absolutely stock for that make and model of car. NO
spacers, lumber chains, etc. may be used to alter stock suspension.
Tires and Wheels
1. Tires must be stock radial D.O.T. passenger car tires only, no fancy, exotic,
trick gumball tires of any kind. NO soaking.
2. MAXIMUM TIRE IS 70 SERIES OR METRIC EQUIVALENT.
3. No grooving of tires.
4. Racing wheels are not allowed. (White spoke allowed).
5. Wheel width maximum eight (8) inches.
6. All four tires must be the same size before, during and after the race. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Engines
1. The engine must be strictly stock for that model and make and in its original mounts.
No fancy high performance parts allowed.
2. Exhaust system must be factory stock for make and model. Muffler, catalytic
converter and tail part may be removed. Y pipe may be removed. No aftermarket
headers of any type allowed.
3. Must pull 12 inch of vacuum at 1000 rpm before, during and after the race.
4. Ford solenoid okay.
Carburetor
1. One stock 2 barrel or one stock 4 barrel original equipment carburetor only, with
choke plate, no modification whatsoever. O.E.M. Fuel injection allowed--throttle body.
Transmission
1. Stock transmission and rear end only. No factory high performance equipment allowed.
Lock or posi rears okay.
Safety
1. 5 point seat belts mandatory. Aluminum racing seat mandatory.
2. Approved fire suit and helmet mandatory.
3. Any loss of wheel or tire requires you to immediately leave the race track. We will not
allow any track damage. Damage to grass or infield while displaying your temper will not
be tolerated and may cause for the black flag.
4. Fire extinguisher mandatory.
5. Weld or chain bumpers to frame.
It is advised that all drivers have their car at the tech area as soon as possible on race
day. This will give you time to fix any problem you may have with your car. NO
CAR RACES WITHOUT PASSING A PRE RACE TECH. Please remember that your entry fee is
non-refundable and if you do not pass tech you will not get your entry fee returned.
Please do not show up late as tech closes at 5:30 p.m. If you have to work or have other
commitments, please have someone else bring your car to tech for you. There will also be a
pre race tech that you will be required to pass as
well before final results are official. Also advise scorers to bring a lawn chair
for them to use in scoring. If two features are run in one evening and driver runs
both Features, he must have two cars and two entry fees. Same car cannot run both
features. Entry fee is $50.00 per car.
