The pit area is a restricted area set aside for the preparation and maintenance of the race cars in competition. NO ONE will be permitted in the pit area unless they have a specific duty to perform.

Drivers are responsible for EVERYONE on their crew list and/or those that sign in with their car.

No person will be allowed in the pit area under 14 years of age (proof of age will be required, either drivers license or a copy of birth certificate must be furnished). The pit pass must be worn in a conspicuous place and kept on you and in plain view at all times. Anyone caught allowing an unauthorized person to use his/her pit pass will be suspended.

In the event of a rain out, your pit pass will act as your rain check for the next regular event. You must surrender your pit pass at the time of your admission or forfeit the right to a rain check.

Midway Speedway reserves the right to refuse entry into the pits or onto track property to anyone considered to be unqualified or detrimental to the sport of auto racing.

Drivers must use extreme caution at all times they are in the pit area (remember to watch for pedestrians). Cars must be kept at a slow and safe speed at all times in the pit area, even when entering or exiting from the track during the races.

23 rd 6
24 th 4
25 th 2
Last chance competitors will receive minimum of 2 points.

POINTS FOR HEATS:

5 points will be awarded to each driver competing in the heat race.

POINT AVERAGE SYSTEM

A point average system will determine race line-up. The last two weeks' points will be averaged, determining that driver's point average. If a driver misses one event, the previous two events in which they competed will be used. If more than one event is missed that driver will have no point average until they are again eligible. Any driver who is disqualified from a feature event will not receive feature points and will be counted as not having been entered. Any driver who competes in a heat but does not compete in the feature will be awarded heat points, these points will add to total points and will be used in calculations, however when points are divided by the number of feature events this night will not count.

LINE UPS

In both heats and features where cars drop out before the start of the race or before one (1) green flag lap is completed the entire row will be moved straightforward. The exception will be when three or more cars drop out of the same row, then the remaining cars will be criss-crossed.

QUALIFYING HEAT RACES

Cars will be lined up according to their four-week point averages. Depending on the number of cars, field will be divided into groups of 8-12 cars per heat. 1st heat will be lowest point average, 2nd heat will be highest point average. Heats will be inverted by point average. All drivers who take the green flag will be awarded heat points. NO CARS WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE TRACK DURING HEAT RACES UNLESS THEY ARE SCHEDULED FOR THAT RACE.

FEATURE EVENTS

Line-ups for all feature & semi-feature events will be determined using the two week point average systems. All drivers who take the green flag will receive feature points unless they are later disqualified. The entire field of cars will be inverted. With all drivers with no averages being placed at the rear. The previous week's winner will start twelfth, in the case that that driver does not compete the following week, the next time they compete they will start behind the
previous week's feature winner.

DRIVER CHANGES

It is the driver's responsibility to notify Officials when a different driver will be in the race car. The race is officially started when the cars enter the track for the parade lap before the start of the heat or feature. NO substitution can be made after this time, for that event. However, driver changes can be made between the heat and feature event. Change must be done with prior knowledge of staging Official. All driver changes made between heat and feature will result in the driver
starting tailback in the feature. POINTS GO TO DRIVER NOT CAR! Failure to abide by this rule will result in disqualification and/or suspension and/or fine.

INSPECTION

Any participant who refuses to allow Tech. Officials to inspect their car will be subject to the following: FIRST REFUSAL ? loss of points and money for night. SECOND REFUSAL ? loss of points for year, loss of money for night. THIRD REFUSAL ? loss of money and points. Suspension for remainder of year. $100.00 fine (must be paid to be eligible to compete again).

Confiscation rule in effect for ALL divisions. Any team refusing to relinquish a confiscated part will be immediately suspended from all speedway operations for a period set forth by the speedway.

Permission to compete does not mean the car meets and passes all safety and divisional rule requirements.

All cars involved in a major accident must be inspected before returning to competition.

Any new parts or equipment not specifically covered in these rules must be approved before being used in competition.

PRE-RACE INSPECTION

1.Mandatory for all vehicles in all classes, unless otherwise notified by Tech Official.

2.Vehicles declared illegal during pre-race inspection will not be allowed to compete until the illegal component(s) are removed or replaced with legal component(s) and the vehicle is then re-inspected.

POST-RACE INSPECTION

1.Required for any vehicle directed to Tech Area following any race.

2.Vehicles declared illegal during post-race inspection will be disqualified for the night.

3.In addition to the disqualification, if the rule violation is thought to be intentional by the Tech Official, then a suspension will result.

SUSPENSION

1.First Time Offense: Suspension of 2 weeks or 2 feature races, whichever is longer, not including night of disqualification.

2.Second Time Offense: Suspension of 4 weeks or 4 feature races, whichever is longer, not including night of disqualification.

3.Third Time Offense: Suspension of one (1) calendar year, not including night of disqualification.

NOTE: ALL Suspensions may affect driver, owner and/or crew chief, whomever the responsible party is determined to be. "Suspended" means that you will not be allowed to participate in any racing activities and you will not be allowed admission into the track pit area until the appropriate penalty has been satisfied.

FLAG RULES

1.GREEN FLAG ? Start or restart of race. When the yellow light goes off during the parade lap, the flagman is ready to start the race. All cars must hold their position until the green flag is displayed. If the yellow comes out before the completion of the first lap, there will be an original restart, except for those cars involved in bringing out the yellow will be sent to the rear of the field.

2.YELLOW FLAG ? Slow down immediately and hold your position. WE DO NOT race back to the start / finish line on yellow. Yellow flag laps do not count and the restart will be determined by the last completed green lap (the only exception will be if most of the cars have crossed start / finish line and the only cars left are off the pace and/or would be in the same position). Cars causing and/or involved in the yellow will restart at the rear of the field; the decision of the Officials is final. Any car going to the pits during the yellow flag period will restart the race at the rear of the field and will not lose any laps, provided the race has not been restarted. Officials reserve the right to utilize the yellow flag to check cars for leaks, smoke, sparks, etc. After the car(s) have been checked, if no problem is found cars will maintain their positions. If a problem is found they will be sent to the pits and the pit rule will apply.

3.RED FLAG ? Race is stopped. ALL CARS must immediately come to a full and complete stop (in the middle of the race track, leaving both the bottom and top of track free for emergency vehicles). KEEP YOUR ATTENTION ON TRACK OFFICIALS SO THAT YOU CAN MOVE WHEN AND ONLY WHEN DIRECTED BY OFFICIALS. All cars involved and running will proceed only when directed by Track Officials. NO ONE FROM THE PITS WILL BE ALLOWED ON TRACK. Cars going to the pits during the red flag period will be restarted at the rear of the field.

4.WHITE FLAG ? Leader has started his/her last lap. If the yellow must be used during this lap, the race must be restarted and there will be two (2) laps required to complete the race (green / white / checkered). But if the red flag must be used during this lap, the race will be considered finished and positions will be determined by the last completed lap, with all cars involved in the incident placed at the rear.

5.CHECKERED FLAG ? Leader has finished the race, the balance of the field takes the checkered flag in the same lap. Finishing positions will be determined by the most laps traveled. All cars taking the green flag will receive a finishing position.

6.BLACK FLAG ? Go to the pits immediately and report to the Official at the staging area. This is not a mandatory disqualification, the Official may give the driver informational directives (i.e. leaking, broken part, etc.) or inform him/her of disqualification. Failure to obey black flag after being shown or informed twice (2) will result in the car not being scored further and additional laps will not count toward finishing positions, driver may also be fined and/or suspended.

7.BLUE WITH YELLOW STRIPE ? This flag indicates that faster lead cars are approaching. Maintain your position, do not change lanes until safe to do so and follow the directions of starter.

RACE PROCEDURES

Our racing program is based on the availability of enough vehicles qualified. If this number is not available, alternate scheduling or programming will be used. Racing events will be "lined-up" in various ways to accomplish the best racing program.

1.Any event is complete when over half of the scheduled length has been run by the leader or terminated by the Officials for safety reasons.

2.The flagman/starter is in complete control of all flagging decisions. No protest or discussion allowed on any judgement calls.

3.Intentionally causing a caution will result in disqualification from an event. The decision of the Officials is final.

4.The penalty for lining up offset or passing under caution "jump starting" on the start or restart of any race will result in being sent to the rear of the field. NO WARNINGS!

5.On all original starts of the races or on all double file starts, no car will be allowed to pass until they have passed the start/finish line.

6.On restarts and single file starts, after the green flag has been waved, cars can pass only on the outside until they pass the start/finish line.

7.Track Officials may penalize any driver making a "low move" down the straightaway or in the corners.

8.Both cars in the front row are responsible for setting an even steady pace for the start of the race.

9.All cars must be in staging lane when the checkered flag waves on the prior race. If the car is not in staging, it will start at the tail end of the field.

10.All restarts after one (1) completed lap shall be single file (exception Pure Street feature). The leader shall gradually accelerate to maintain an even and steady start.

11.When the caution flag comes out, all cars are to line-up single file (fall in behind the car directly in front of you). All positions are decided by the last completed lap, except for cars involved being sent to the rear of the field. Track Officials will check positions (but this can only be done with cars in single file). Any driver not following directions of Track Officials concerning line-ups will be placed at the rear of the field. If this direction is not followed, the driver will be sent to the pits. NO WARNINGS

12.Any car intentionally causing a caution, will be sent to rear of field, others involved will keep their position as long as they do enter pit area. Those blocking will be considered the one creating caution.

13.In the event of a red flag situation, all cars must stop as quickly and safely as possible at any point on the track away from the accident area (leaving the bottom and top lanes clear for emergency vehicles).

14.Under red flag conditions drivers not directly involved must remain in their cars unless instructed otherwise by Track Officials. If drivers are instructed that they may exit car, they must move away from their vehicles. Any driver touching the car except to exit and to re-enter the car may be placed at the rear of the field when the race is restarted (Officials won't try to determine whether you were just looking or were making adjustments). AT NO TIME IS WORK ON THE CAR TO BE ALLOWED WHILE ON THE TRACK, AT TRACK ENTRANCE OR TRACK EXIT. This includes checking tires, oil leaks, dragging parts, etc. Failure to abide by this may result in being disqualified and/or fined.

15.Any car may be taken to the pit area during a yellow or red flag (on red flag no car can move until emergency situation has been brought under control), but cars may only re-enter under directions from Track Officials and using extreme caution.

16.All races shall be run until the leader receives the checkered flag.  In the event of a yellow or red flag (after the leader has received the checkered flag), all remaining cars which did not complete the lap under the checkered flag will be scored according the last completed lap with those cars being involved being scored at the rear of all cars on that lap.

17.In the event the race is halted due to extreme circumstance, and the race is at least half completed, the race will be checkered flagged and considered complete with positions being determined by the last completed lap. If less than half of the laps have been completed, the race will resume at the next regularly scheduled event. Only those cars that were on the track at the time of the delay (if a car is in the pits his/her finished will be based on laps completed before delay) will be allowed to finish.

18.It is the driver's responsibility to be physically and mentally healthy in order to compete. It is the driver's responsibility that if at any time he/she is under a physician or chiropractor's care (for any reason during the racing season) to submit a written release on the attending doctor's letterhead, and it shall be received by the Speedway Office no later than 24 hours prior to the next scheduled event in which the driver wishes to participate. Failure to do so could result in disqualification.

19.Scanners programmed to track frequency are mandatory in all divisions except Pure Street. Either driver or crew must be capable of listening. Line-ups will be given over radio. Must let officials know if scanner is unoperatable.
