Hot racing action at Riverside as Blamberg is best again in A-Mods! Rosemark rapid in Bandits at Riverside Raceway!

August 7, 2001; Eagle River, WI. - The heat was sweltering and the racing action was hot on Tuesday, August 7th, at Riverside Raceway in Eagle River. The night's action was sponsored by Ron's Auto Sales of Eagle River.

Photo Highlights

Jason Shattuck took the lead halfway through the first Bandit heat and was followed by Tim Miller and Rich Rosemark. In heat two of the Bandits, Jim Nieckula led from start to finish followed by Rod Radziczak and Tim Rosemark overtaking Dustin Miller for third.

Heat one in Pure Stocks saw Dan Melton victorious over brother Jeremy Melton with Brian Slizewski following in third. Chad Rosinski led all the way to the checkered flag in Pure Stock heat two. Marlys Scharf followed him in second with Jim Melton coming in third.

The Street Stock heat was led early by Jeff Ingman. Fritz Scharf made a couple of slick moves to go from fourth to first. Jeff Ingman ended up taking second place and Mike Boyd came in third.

Tad Schoonover held on for the win in the Miller Lite A-Mod heat race followed closely by Scott Blamberg and Tom Zdroik.

After intermission it was time for the feature races. The Miller Lite A-Mods kicked things off. Tad Schoonover took the early lead until contact between him and Zdroik sent Schoonover to the pits. Zdroik took over the lead until he too got a flat and had to pit on a yellow. Scott Blamberg inherited the lead and never looked back taking the win. Tom Zdroik came in second with Guy Carley coming in third.

Jeff Ingman and John Johnson battled for the lead early in the Street Stock feature. Contact between them gave Ingman a flat and he spun in corner two sending him to the pits. Fritz Scharf took the lead on the restart and went on for the win followed by Ken Valeria and Mike Boyd.

Tom Nolda took the early lead in the Pure Stock feature, which went flag to flag caution free. A lapped car got in his way on turn four and Nolda lost the lead to Chad Rosinski. Rosinski cruised to the win with Nolda second and Keith Durand a season best third.

In the Bandit feature, Tim Miller led the first half of the race until Rich Rosemark sneaked underneath him in corner two and took over the lead. Bruce Belland and Jason Shattuck challenged the leader the rest of the race but Rosemark hung on for the win with Belland second and Shattuck third.

In the Street Eliminator class, Jim Kennedy powered his S-10 4X4 past favorite Thad Boettcher for the trophy. In a grudge race Brad Hartman's 99 4-door 4X4 Dually edged out Pat Findley's 99 Dodge Dually.
