The second Bandit heat saw #57 Rob Schuppler make an early move to take the lead. He held on but was challenged late in the race by Bruce Belland who came from the back of the pack. Dustin Miller came in third.

Pure Stock heat #1 had Marlys Scharf on the outside of the first row taking the early lead. Brian Slizewski worked through some traffic into second place but had a long way to go to catch Marlys. On the last corner Brian tried an inside move but didn't quite have enough to get by. Marlys won with Brian second and Tom Nolda third.

John Dorion ran away with the second heat as the rest of the field got tangled up on the front stretch. The real battle was for second between Keith Durand and Don Liefer. Durand prevailed for second with Jeremy Melton finishing third.

John Johnson took the early lead in the first Street Stock heat but it didn't last long. Fritz Scharf got by him in turn one when Johnson got loose. Scharf won the heat with Johnson second and Kevin Maulson a close third.

Ken Valeria, two time feature winner this year, worked his way through the pack to take the second heat with Mike Boyd second and a sputtering Shawn Bialas third.

The Miller Lite A-Mod first heat after a false start had Scott Blamberg take the lead challenged by Bob Kleinschmidt. Mark Albertus had an engine fire to bring out the caution. On the restart it was still Blamberg followed by Kleinschmidt to the checkers. Ken Smith, #34, led #34 Mickey Nosser in the early laps of heat two. Nosser grabbed the lead on lap four and held it to the end followed by Smith.

The Bandit feature had plenty of excitement. Rich Rosemark, #27, led early but was challenged by Bruce Belland. Belland took over the lead on lap five. Because of numerous yellow flags the race ran up against the time limit. Belland won with Ryan Burzinski second and Rob Schuppler third.

John Dorion made heavy contact with the concrete wall on the first lap of the Pure Stock feature. He was not hurt but was done for the night. Keith Durand took over the lead but it was short lived as Brian Slizewski got by him and never looked back. It was a battle of survival as only five cars finished. Vic Bodamer scored second and Tom Nolda who stayed out of trouble finished third.

ohn Johnson took the early lead in the Street Stock feature, but on lap three, Fritz Scharf tapped John on the backstretch, got him loose and Fritz took over the lead. Ken Valeria trying for three feature wins in a row gave Scharf a lot of heat but couldn't quite do it. Scharf held on for the win with Valeria second and Mike Boyd third.

The Miller Lite A-Mod feature was the survival of the fittest. Kleinschmidt, Carley, Nosser, Smith and Albertus all retired early with problems. Tad Schoonover took over the lead midway through the race and held on for his first feature win of the year at Riverside. Scott Blamberg followed him for second and Clarence Kolehouse got third.
