September 14, 2004; Eagle River, WI. - Rain washed away another night
of racing at Riverside Raceway. Five rainouts
for the season ties a record for most rainouts set in Riverside's first season, 1998. This
time heavy downpours during the mid-afternoon hours on Tuesday and more threatening
weather forecasted for Tuesday evening forced the postponement of Fan Appreciation Night.
The race will be made up on Tuesday, September 21 and all advertised events will go on as
scheduled including awards and autographs during intermission, and mechanics and
Powderpuff races after the features. Once again the start time will be one hour early with
hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:00. General admission is free for this, the final race
of the 2004 season at Riverside. |
