Rain Washes Away Riverside's Firecracker 40, Rescheduled for July 20!
By Jeremy Mayo

July 6, 2004; Eagle River, WI. - An all day rain may have been beneficial to the vegetation of the Northwoods, but it was not beneficial to racing. Tuesday afternoon at 1:33 p.m. Riverside Raceway Owner/Promoter Don Scharf officially pulled the plug on Tuesday Night's program, citing that the track would not be raceable, even under the best of weather conditions.

The main event on Tuesday night's card, the Up North Poured Foundation's Firecracker 40 will be rescheduled for Tuesday, July 20. Contrary to some published reports, this race is a 40-lap feature for the Miller Lite WISSOTA
Midwest Mods and will pay $300 to the winner.

Racing will resume at Riverside Raceway next Tuesday Night, sponsored by OK Auto Parts and Auto Value.
