Top WIMSA Drivers honored at banquet!

Secember 15, 1999, Chilton, WI - The Wisconsin Mini-Sprint Association awarded it's members at their year-end awards banquet at Smith Bros. Fish Shanty, hosted by Eric Mueller, WIMSA club announcer.
The WIMSA Series Champion, Scott Uttech of Muskego was crowned as well as the top twenty other racers receiving awards for their admirable finish in year-end points. Other racers that scored a top-five finish were: Scott Sippel in second place, Mike Emme in third place, last year's champion Mike Kertscher in fourth place and Jeff Harder in fifth, respectively.
Several other special awards were presented likewise. Rookie of the Year and Hardest Hit of the Year honors went to fourteenth place point finisher, Danny Mentzel. The High Flyer of the Year award was given to Michael Emme for his aerial acrobatics displayed at the Calumet County Speedway on more than one occasion. The Hardest-Hit and High-Flyer awards were presented courtesy of MMG Inc.
Also, two more very special awards were presented to two fine individuals that have donated many hours of help and knowledge to help make WIMSA into a very successful club. The Crew-Person of the Year award went to a deserving Jean Martin whose help is always appreciated by all pit personal. The Sportsman of the Year award was presented to a very dedicated and determined tower worker, Dianne Schultz. Without the endless hours of preparation and paperwork done by Dianne, WIMSA wouldn't be where they are today. The club felt confident she was more deserving of the award than anyone else.
