July 2, 1999, Chilton, WI - Elkhart Lake native Scott Sippel was the man to beat Friday night in the mini-sprint division! Already claiming two previous feature wins this season, Sippel powered his way to the front of the twenty lap WIMSA Mini-Sprint feature to claim feature win number three during the Laughrin's Kloeten Oasis night a the races.

Appleton racer Kevin Eggert, fresh off a heat win, was the polesitter for the feature. Jeff Schmidt from Slinger was seated on the outside of row one, then Beaver Dam's Joe Pantely and Chilton's Dave Lisowe in the third and fourth starting spots. When the green flag dropped, Eggert stayed in the number one spot, building up an early lead.
Scott Sippel, also taking a heat race win, was steadily on the move
starting from the ninth spot.
The first caution flew for Cleveland native Mike Emme. The caution bunched the pack up a
bit, but Eggert managed to hold the lead again after the restart. Sippel, starting third
on the restart, swiftly moved into second, while Fredonia's Mike Kertscher motored his way
into the forth spot.
After fifteen laps, Sippel took the lead away from Eggert and never looked back. One last caution was brought out for Dave Lisowe after he wound up spinning out into the infield.
When twenty fast and furious laps were complete, Scott Sippel took the checkered flag, followed by Eggert and fast qualifier, Scott Uttech from Muskego.
