Scott Uttech scores feature win at Plymouth!
By Bill Brenner

July 10, 1999, Plymouth, WI -  The Wisconsin Mini Sprint Organization traveled to Sheboygan County this past weekend to join the Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Association, and they put on a fantastic show!

There, Muskego racer Scott Uttech claimed his second feature win of the season. Bob Reichert of Skokie, Illinois, fresh out of a feature win a day earlier in Chilton, scored a win in heat one.  Mike Emme from Cleveland netted a win in heat two, and in heat race number three, Elkhart Lake's Scott
Sippel emerged victorious.

Dennis "The Worm" Frea out of Sturgeon Bay, turned in a solid performance, topping the B-Main, while C.J. Wagner, subbing for Dave Lisowe of Chilton, also ran a good race, claiming a second place finish.

A twenty car lineup in the feature race provided a good spectator race and plenty of action!  Kenosha's Dan Uttech was the polesitter, while in second starting spot sat John Edquist of Sussex.  Elkhart Lake's Craig Gravatt and Luke Griesbach of Two Rivers rounded out row two.

When the green flag came out, it was Dan Uttech taking a jump on the field with brother Scott Uttech and Edquist hot in pursuit.  By lap two, Scott Uttech had gained control of the lead spot, while Bob Reichert moved into the third position after starting in seventh.  Current point leader Scott Sippel also started making his moves early in the race, motoring his way to the fifth spot, moving up four positions.

A caution came out for Luke Griesbach, spinning on lap five.  On the restart it was Scott Uttech starting in the lead position, then Dan Uttech, Edquist, and Reichert rounding out the top four.  On that restart, Scott Uttech managed to stay in front only to see another caution, this time for Glenbeulah racer Jeff Harder, spinning in turn two.

Once the field was lined up again for the restart, it was once more Scott Uttech maintaining the top spot, but the man on the move was Sippel, taking over the third spot.  Lap ten saw Edquist spin into the infield, allowing Scott Sippel to make a charge for the lead.  When the checkered flag flew in lap 15, it was Scott Uttech barely taking the win, with Sippel taking a runnerup finish, then Dan Uttech, Reichert, and Dennis Frea rounding out the top five.

Tomorrow night WIMSA travels to Angel Park Speedway in Sun Prairie to run in conjunction with the Badger MiniSprint Racing Organization.
