North Central Speedway has launched a New Website with a whole new look and attitude. New Features include a store, up to date AMB times, more social media networks, easier navigation, apps for your phone, and text message alerts.


North Central Speedway Announces 2012 Schedule

North Central Speedway has 21 race events on the schedule for 2012 and will feature a new event over Memorial Day Weekend, the return of the AMA Outlaw Stars Race and the 11th Annual Mighty Ax Nationals, but first the season starts off with several practice sessions before opener on April 28.

St. Croix Valley Raceway gears up for 2012 Race Season

After running a truncated schedule in 2011, officials at St. Croix Valley Raceway are putting the finishing touches on a full, summer-long 2012 campaign. Returning for 2012, the weekly card will again feature UMSS Traditional (non-winged) sprints, micros sprints, Pure Stocks and Future IVs. Midwest Modifieds are back as well, in 2012 running under the WISSOTA banner.


Champions, Others Celebrated as ABC Raceway Banquet Remembers 2011 Campaign

A crowd of well over 200 gathered at the Bad River Lodge, Casino & Convention Center in nearby Odanah to socialize, enjoy a great buffet meal, and celebrate the 2011 stock car racing season as the ABC Raceway put the final touches on its 47th season Saturday night.

On a chilly Friday night many drivers, families and fans made their way to Jack’s House Bowling Alley in Brainerd for the North Central Speedway 2011 season banquet. Mike Brown, announcer of NCS, officiated the banquet with help from Denise Blood, Promoter KT and track Owner Cliff Sasker who celebrated his 10th season at NCS.

The hornet drivers were first to receive their awards with the top three drivers being honored with trophies. In the Outlaw Hornets, Derek Brenny was champion with Ashley Mehrwerth, and Matt Everts taking the top three points. The Hornet’s top finishers went to Derek Daudt in first followed by Brandon Mehrwerth and Aaron Johnson.

The NCS Pure Stocks were next up to get their trophies and the top five drivers were announced. Track champion was Jonny Moe with Gary Ohnstad, Jr., Richard Nelson, Lance Sprague, and David Eich topping the points.

The WISSOTA classes were next up to receive their awards. The drivers who finished in points six through ten were awarded checks for their positions and drivers in points first through fifth got plaques and jackets for the class champions.

WISSOTA Street Stocks were as follows: Tim Johnson as champion, Mark Johnson, Christina Wollak, John Kropuenske, Todd Wooden, Scott Baron, Jack Peterson, Tony Yezek, John Yilek, and Dexton Koch taking the top ten positions.
